We ordered mothers day flowers for my mom and when she saw them she snapped pic and sent to my kids thanking them. My daughter who had spent an hour on 1-800- Flowers picking out orange flowers with sunflowers in a special spherical vase(she collects vases) was very upset because pic was not even close to what we ordered and what she got was pink, pink and more pink. even tall vase we did not order was PINK! My daughter and myself and my mother all do not like the color pink which is why her arrangement had orange flowers because they are her fav and sunflowers which my daughter loves which made it extra special. I called florist on mothers day(Friday- per the 24 hour satisfaction guarantee on back of card) to find out what happened and the women on the phone was rude and said she would look into it and get bk to them and rushed me off the phone. Sat came and went and I called Sunday to again try to have an answer they was advised that this florist shop was busy, and that they "just make it work with what they have" and she again would look into this and handle firs thing Monday am - no call then Wed am I called and was told by rude man who may have been owner that they tried a redeliver yesterday(Tues) but she was not home. I advised him this was a delivery to a business, then he changed story and said that when they got there at 5 office was closed, also a lie because we work for same company and we were open until 6:30- then he rudely said my delivery guy is on it and will be there today and ended call. She did receive new flowers which were closer to the original order but still not even as beautiful as what we ordered, flowers were yellow instead of orange and no sunflowers at all and this time plain clear vase that everyone has, not a collectible item we chose. Overall there were no apologies and I do not feel that they care overall about their customers. Sad because I live in this town but will never go to them again and I had 1800- Flowers note my acct to not use them for future orders. If you order flowers and pay that kind of money you should get what you order and if they do not have those flowers they should advise customer...
Read more"SKIP Skip's" when ordering flowers. The worst flower store (I would not call them a Florist) I have ever dealt with. My son sent me a birthday arrangement through FTD. As an ex-floral designer, I was heartbroken by what I received. An hour later the driver returned and handed me a balloon telling me it went with my previous delivery. I snapped a pic and sent it to my son with my thank you. The arraignment was to have yellow lilies, red roses, red carnations, irises, yellow chrysanthemums and greens in a vase with a teddy bear and a balloon. I received the teddy bear and balloon and a vase that contained 3 small sprays of purple chrysanthemums, a few red miniature carnations, 2 yellow gerber mums and baker fern. The value was less then 1/3 of what my son paid. My son contacted FTD and was told the flowers would be picked up and a new bouquet would be redelivered. I'm still waiting. FTD has informed my son that Skips refused to honor their request. This was not my first negative experience with Skips; just the first one I've chosen to write about. Skips clearly has no business ethics!!! The ethical party was FTD, who after seeing the photos, fully reimbursed my son. My advice ~...
Read moreI would give zero stars if it was an option. I used them this past week for my mother’s funeral flowers. What a horrific experience. I specified many times that all arrangements were to be roses. Nothing else!! I specifically told the man that my mom hated carnations and I asked if the arrangements that normally come with other flowers could be done with roses. He assured us that yes everything would be roses. I even called the day before to verify. He confirmed it. Well all three of the arrangements were all wrong. He used the cheapest flowers. No roses. We were devastated. I wanted to give my mom what she loved and he is a liar. Basically he lied to get the business. We called today to voice our dissatisfaction and he was rude and unprofessional.
