Never leave bad reviews but I can't believe how unfriendly the lady at the front was. I called over the phone a couple days ago asking if they were hiring & was told to come in today by some guy who seemed like the owner or something, so I came in and walked in and said "hello how are you," and the lady cuts me off and goes "one?" - I heard her wrong and thought she said "what?" So I said "oh I just said hello how are you" (very politely) and she goes "No, I said one." So I said "ohhh, gotcha, I'm actually not eating in, I'm just here to talk to the owner about a server position, I called before to make sure he was here before I came in." And she goes "Well, he's not the owner, but I'll find him."
Then the guy walks up front and hands me an application and then he asks "Do you have a pen?" And I said "I actually do not" and the lady interrupted and said "you should always come prepared" and then I saw one laying on the counter, so I said "Oh! There's one, can I borrow it really quick?" And she goes "No that's my pen." And then she grabbed it away quickly. And then she scrambled for another one and gave me it. Mind you, the whole time I was being very polite. And I KNOW that.
Anyways, I then go to fill out my application, and I hear the lady get a phone call asking if they are hiring. She ended the phone obviously very mad, and then said for me to hear, "I don't understand why people call over the phone to ask if we are hiring. Just come in and fill out an application." (Which I actually called a little earlier in the day and she answered, and I asked her if the guy who I was on the phone with was in today and she went "yes" very abruptly on the phone lol) Even though this shouldn't make a difference, the place was dead, I swear, there were maybe three tables. It was not busy, so it's not like I came at a bad time.
All I'm gonna say, is this is not good customer service! And people are never going to want to work in that kind of environment! I understand people having bad days, and maybe that's what it was but it's just not the right way to go about things! Also, there was one server who very kind and friendly, but I did not get her name.
And don't worry! I...
Read moreWe have been regulary going here. Last time we went, part of my meal was forgotten, and the waitress took literally forever.
This time, we waited 20 mins for the waitress to ask what beverages we wanted. Same waitress. She recognized us but not who we came with who was also there last time. Instead of asking if we were ready to order, we had to wait for our beverages to be brought over which also took a while. Finally we ordered and we got rolls which last time they didn't give us at all. We got our soup however all 3 meals came with salad and she brought only 2 acting like the third meal didn't come with one. They were ALL dinner specials. ALL 3 came with salad, soup, dessert, and free coffee or tea. The vegetable options were corn or strained greenbeans. When we got them, the vegetables were on the wrong plates with the wrong items. The corn was over boiled and brown, and the strained greenbeans were in a red sauce with onions which my guest was allergic to. So they were never touched. SO he got NO salad, and a vegetable option he was allergic to, and MY vegetables were so bad looking, I couldn't offer them like I did MY salad. Dinner came, my coffee was empty. She asked if we needed anything else and I said yes more coffee. Another 20 mins before she brought it. I had to wait because my meal had stuffed seafood. I couldn't eat more without a beverage. Both guests drinks were empty. By the time I got it, I had hot coffee and cold food. NOT worth it. Having someone nice as a waitress does not make up for all this. There was hardly anyone...
Read moreOur 2nd time being back since the reopen. This time we went for breakfast. Not a long wait for a Saturday morning. Food was great .. little pricey for breakfast but we got alot of food so its alright. The only complaint I have is, we got seated by the cash register where the hostess was... I didnt catch her name... but apparently the morning had been hectic and she sat there and complained the whole time about it and how she was overwhelmed and I even think she mentioned something negative about the boss. Said she couldnt breath with him around. Hey he is doing his job and seems like a very nice owner.. Needless to say, I get it everyone has rough days but customers dont want to hear that as they are trying to enjoy their food. She literally wouldnt quit to where I wanted to say something but didnt want to cause trouble or make her day worse. It wasnt very professional and if she cant handle the job maybe she shouldn't be a hostess. Or at least take a breather and vent where customers cant hear her. I work in retail and I know a job can get overwhelming but your customers dont need to hear it. This won't stop me from coming back but maybe I'll request to sit away from the hostess area next time. Not to mention she wrote down multiple people's names to a wait list and called everyone by the wrong name.. why bother writing it...
