I'm just getting back into the RC world, I stopped in to kill some time and the manager was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He showed me a few cars and we talked shop. Over the next few days I did some internet research about what he showed me and I learned that they were amazing! Today I went back and got a Traxxas Maxx after his suggestion and reading reviews. We discussed batteries and when I expected an upsell to Traxxas batteries he assured me that the budget friendly options work just fine. He had the chance to upsell me $210 and he totally skipped it and THAT is the honesty I look for in a shop. When I went in for my purchase the owner personally introduced himself and made sure I had a great experience, he was friendly and helpful and cut me a great deal on an upgrade when I purchased the car, he said that they offer a battery deal when you buy a car (great deal if you need batteries/charger), I said i don't need a battery but I want this upgrade and he made a deal I couldn't pass on. If you're like me and looking to support Brick and Mortar shops, this is a great place for it. I got a Traxxas Bluetooth Module for $5 less than amazon, the car I bought was much cheaper than Amazon. I was willing to waste money (on a battery) because I lacked the knowledge and they stopped me, informed me and for that reason they will be my shop for future purchases. Check them out, take your time, do your research and I'm sure you will have an equally...
Read moreI have been in this store at least a couple of times and this last time was a day ago, and each time was the same, no one asked if I needed help or what was I looking for. When I was in there this last time one man who was in a wheelchair and doing what looked like inventory, I tried making a comment of how they have a lot of nice things he just kept on doing what he was doing and made no attempt to say anything, the one behind the counter was on the phone ordering parts so I waited and nothing, not even acknowledgement of some sort as letting me know he saw me and would be able to help after he got off the phone. This last time will be the last, I don't get how I could go into the same store 4 separate times to try and buy a R/C rock crawler, but had questions about them, and got the same cold-shoulder each time I was in there, I won't be back, and each time I was the only customer in the store., I really think that since they are the only r/c hobby shop in town everyone will just keep coming back until we just buy something from them, even if it is not what you really wanted, or more than you wanted to spend, and then probably smile and laugh after you...
Read moreI Googled RC hobby stores near me (which there aren’t many) found this place, and made the hour drive there. I am so glad I did. I had an old RC Truggy that I pieced together with upgraded parts then never actually got it going. I walked in the store and was greeted by smiles and people interested in what I needed. They checked out my vehicle, found a connector that needed replaced, took it in the back and quickly soldered on a new one. We discussed battery options and I purchased a good LiPo battery. They hooked it up and made sure everything functioned properly. Then I needed a body. They didn’t have one in stock but had a similar model to mine in the store. The owner opened the brand new model and pulled the body off so I could have everything I needed. He also gave me a better price on it than was available anywhere on line. He told me he could just order in a new replacement. He sure didn’t have to.
I was so happy to have my whole car set up and ready to run by the time I left the store. Truly a one stop shop for my RC needs. I won’t hesitate to visit again the next time I...
