This was my first visit to the Northern Pacific Railway Museum. The museum is inside the old Toppenish NP depot. It has been lovingly restored and maintained. This visit was a special event as the museum is closed from late October thru April. The event was The Christmas toy train and ride to north pole. Admission was $5 for children under 12 and $8 for adults. I thought the price was reasonable. There were many train layouts running most HO gauge but some larger. The place was full of volunteers all adorned in red with white fur. All very friendly helpful andvwell versed in the history of the NPRR. The attraction included a ride on old train with a couple carsvand cabbose. We journey to the North Pole exited the train and had photo op with Santa and Mrs Clause. Boarded train for return trip. Great time...
Read moreWe did the Christmas Train experience and it was so fun! My girls (3 and 5) loved it. There were at least 5 different model train scenes… and I think, at least, 14 different model trains going at any given time. They also had a scavenger hunt of things to find in the scenes, which made it so engaging. All of the owners and drivers of the models were so friendly and kind, and engaged well with the kiddos and adults. You also get to take a short ride on a real train! And at the halfway point you exit onto another standing train to go visit Santa, your a old passenger train, and watch a little of the movie The Polar Express during any wait time. There was also a craft for kids, and a nice little gift shop with very reasonably priced items. Would love to do this...

If traveling thru this area, this museum is definitely worth a stop. Disregard any negative comments of previous reviewers. They almost steered us off. I'm glad we did NOT pay attention to negatives and spent a...
