We found this gem on our way back to the Gorge from Yakima. We were skeptical to stop for Thai food in a remote area of WA state, but Thai food is a favorite of ours so we thought we’d chance it. We are so happy we did! We wandered in a bit late after the dinner rush. It is a casual restaurant, as you might expect in a small town. As we entered we were greeted warmly & invited to sit wherever we’d like. We each ordered a beer from the range of beer selection from Hazy IPA, to Lager, to foreign beer selection (rather wide range of beer options), ordered the Crispy Lover appetizer (fried wonton stuffed with tuna, radish, & onion), Seafood Bird Nest main dish (fried noodles under a bed of seafood, veggies, & sauce) with rice on the side, Asparagus w/Peanut sauce with chicken & rice main dish (such delicious peanut sauce), & mango sticky rice for dessert. It was all authentic & divine tasting. The owners are hands on & chef is from Thailand while her American husband was working the front & serving. He was very friendly & hospitable. They recently visited Thailand and pictures from their trip were on a slideshow on a tv screen in the restaurant. We were chatty & he shared stories about the photos. He was personable and answered our questions about their experiences in Thailand. During our time there we noticed his caring interactions with other customers too. It’s a welcoming atmosphere. I am looking forward to stopping there the next time we drive over to Yakima. The food was absolutely excellent tasting, creative, presented nicely, & the service was fantastic. This is worth a little extra drive if you have the...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Papanana Thai Kitchen, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. This restaurant serves some of the best Thai food I have ever had, and every dish was a delightful blend of fresh, flavorful ingredients.
The Phad Kee Mao and green curry were particularly exceptional. The Phad Kee Mao was perfectly spiced, with a wonderful balance of heat and flavor, while the green curry was rich and aromatic, bursting with fresh herbs and spices. Both dishes left a lasting impression and are now my go-to favorites.
Beyond the food, the customer service at Papanana Thai Kitchen was exemplary. The staff were attentive and genuinely welcoming, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant itself was impeccably clean, adding to the overall pleasant ambiance.
I highly recommend Papanana Thai Kitchen to anyone looking for a top-notch Thai dining experience. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Thai cuisine or trying it for the first time, this restaurant is...
Read moreMy colleague and I got into Toppenish on the later side and wanted a place to eat near Legends Casino and hotel. Papanana didn’t disappoint. We walked in at 8 pm (they close at 8:30 pm), but they were so nice and still seated us! We ordered a bottle of local Riesling (surprisingly good), and lots of goodies that were fresh and delicious. It’s owned by a local couple, who were so friendly and kind. It was clear that this food was fresh and cared for. The spice levels were just right and we were able to get in and out in 45 minutes.
If you’re in the area, I’d HIGHLY recommend. Also, we originally were going to go to another Thai spot, but this one came up instead. Not sure if it’s the old name, or another restaurant—but I’m recommending...
