Got a chance to try the Lewis Seafoods food truck Topsail Beach, and I absolutely loved it! We had a Fried Shrimp Sandwich, Fried Oyster Platter, and Grilled Fish Sandwich with Mahi Mahi. Oysters, shrimp, and fish were literally fresh from the market at the time they were prepped, breaded, and cooked to perfection. The grilled fish was absolutely delicious with subtle flavor and flakey texture. Our fried oysters were proper textbook examples and amazing! The generous portions of large shrimp were also expertly presented. From such an unassuming location, we found an absolute gem! Great food, courteous service, and best of all, located on Topsail Beach! P.S. note that hours for Lewis Seafood market and food truck are different.

Visited Randy at Lewis Seafood numerous times during our week stay in Topsail. Absolutely positively recommend Lewis Seafood for fresh fish. And I do mean FRESH! I literally watched as the boat unloaded its bounty into Randy’s cooler. Caught last night; on my grill today. The trigger fish was fantastic by the way. Never had it before but will definitely have it again! Everything was very clean inside. Great service; friendly family folks and very fair prices, especially for the QUALITY seafood they serve. Will definitely return. Thank you Randy!

Visited Randy at Lewis Seafood numerous times during our week stay in Topsail. Absolutely positively recommend Lewis Seafood for fresh fish. And I do mean FRESH! We've been coming to Topsail Beach for over 30 years, and honestly, Lewis Seafood is one of the best, freshest, seafood markets I have EVER found on this island. The seafood is amazing, the store location is perfect, right in Topsail — saving you a trip back to Surf City or the mainland — and the owners are wonderful. Sometimes local store owners can get a bit crusty because of so many tourists, but not this place. They are friendly, proud of their exceptional product (rightly so, because it comes right from their own boats) and they are knowledgeable about what you are buying and how to prepare it. Wow, this is the local fresh seafood market to come and buy fresh seafood on the island. We stopped in to check it out as it is in Topsail Beach (the town) on the southern end. It is out of the way to get to but well worth the drive. The boats that bring the catch in are out the back door and you can go out and check them out. The person I chatted with offered me more advice and ideas than I would have thought of. This is definitely worth the drive to come get items to take back and fresh grill.
