This is still the Best gift shop on Topsail Island. And will say my grandma worked here in the 70s and 80s so I may be a tad bit bias but still it is a great place regardless. Its still as amazing as it was then. Very nice gifts to buy for yourself your kids or the dog sitter back home. The staff was super nice. Smells so nice as soon as you walk in the door. This is not a big chain beach shop. I'm not interested in spending my money at those. I enjoy coming in here and talking with the nice ladies about spending summers at Topsail when my Grandma and Grandpa Spainhour lived on the Island years ago. Has beautiful pricier quality jewelry when you first walk in to the left. As you come around towards where the front of the register is there is other less expensive jewelry and knickknacks. Very nice quality t-shirts and sweatshirts flip-flops towels etc are in the back on the 1st floor. Going upstairs there is home decor and just the most perfect size toy room for kids. And the toys are affordable. There is also a neat Christmas room where I had to get a Christmas tree decoration of course. There are a lot of local items for sale including books jelwelry and home decorations. Just a great way to spend an hour or so on a Topsail morning. We will definitely be back sooner...

I want to like TGS of Topsail but each time there's always some negative that happens either during or after. We've visited this store every year for 15 years. My family loves it. Maybe I am picky. The employees have been a bit uppity in the past but the last few years they've been really nice. I have several rings which last..but I bought a bracelet last summer which I thought was in the $40 range but turned out to be $80 when I reviewed the receipt later and the leather turned from dark green to dried out and faded in less than a week. I guess my fault for not checking the price but you'd think something at that price would have been treated and last a while. This year I bought a few items including a necklace and the necklace chain has already rusted! I put it on after leaving the beach 3 days ago and had only gotten it wet 2x. I need to find a solution now to coat it so it doesn't make my neck break out. For the prices of the items I just feel they should do better. The people are nice. Just be careful about...

I have been coming to Topsail Today island yearly since I was born. Topsail island was where I decided at 16 that I was going to one day live by the ocean. I shopped at the gift basket every year we came to visit. When I was 18 years old I bought an 18k sold gold diamond cut doll phi no charm with a sapphire eye. I wore this necklace, without ever taking it off until my late 30''s. I paid over 300.00 for the necklace and it was worth every dime. This charm now is over $500.00 and now that I have come full circle and live just over the bridge I will be buying this charm again this year. Wish I could post a picture.
