I have been coming to Del Amo Mall since 1970s it looked veeerrry different back then. I watched the history of this mall, it has gone through several expansions. I can’t believe that Sears is gone, many large parts of this mall went through changes and it’s just very sad, but inevitable. It’s a huge mall, but I feel like it just makes it too hard to get to the shops that I “need” to get to. If I go to the mall it’s usually to get something very specific, like a certain cologne or meet someone for dinner, and since I am there I may window shop a couple stores while I’m there if it’s within a couple minute walk, I’m not going to walk all through this mall because it’s just too big. I prefer to go to a store where I can park my car and get into the store within a few steps. Even when looking for a dress or something to wear for an event, I don’t want to walk all through this mall searching, and most of the time I can’t find what I like after walking around a couple miles I’d be upset. I have very fond memories of this mall, it has history, but honestly I have stopped going there to shop for clothing, shoes or gifts which is the main reason you would go to the mall besides the movie theater… I hate that the way most people shop has changed now, it’s just easier to search online from home. I want to support this mall as I grew up with it, but I don’t even know where to start with this mall, it’s too spaced out and so hard to shop for me. It’s like you have to park at one place to get one thing then get back to the car and park to another spot to get something else and each time it’s not like you can park close to that specific store either… I think they had 2 of the same stores on each ends for some of the brands… that’s kind of ridiculous. I do wish this mall well and hope it survives. I hope the department...
