TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE experience. Very rude and arrogant person at the front. I had to have another company solve my problem for a small fraction of the cost with "GREAT" Professional service. I had to pay parkway Labor cost for nothing. He tried to sell me equipment that I did not need. I had to fight them "HARD" for what is right. Luckily for me I have an Audio Engineering background. Otherwise I would have been taken advantage of and out of hundreds of dollars besides the labor cost they would not give back. Very deceitful... beware. Luckily for me I can afford to let the loss go, but if this info helps another avoid Parkway Car Stereo and don't go through what I just did..... it's well worth it.
11/1/2018 This is Johnny to follow up to your response. I normally ignore Google alerts until I saw Parkway Car Stereo and read the Owner Brian fabricated response. Mr. Brian by what stretch of the imagination do you think it's okay to LIE or have staffers who alter facts which proves what I stated earlier the level of incompetence at your poorly run establishment. Yes your company did install my currently working amplifier 11 years ago when customer service meant something and my experience was great dealing with your company. The problem that I came to your company with was static in the rear passenger side door panel speaker. I was told i needed new speakers which i purchased from Parkway Car Stereo and the tech installed. ( I have the credit card receipt ) About two days later the static came back. I brought my vehicle back and the tech switched the speakers wires from left to right and stated if the static comes back it's the radio. The next day the static came back. I made an appointment and returned again. Then I was told that i needed a new amplifier. So at this point i sternly argued to remove the new speakers i purchased from your company if they were not the problem and put my original speakers back in which he did. And I had to argue with the guy to refund my money for the speakers that I did not need. He stated that I would be charged $75 for Labor. As of today 11/1/2018 my speakers are static free and my amplifier was never a problem. Although. I was really frustrated I'm glad i had the good sense to see a CON JOB in the making and went to a true professional to fix my problem which took 10 mins and less than $25. I have nothing to gain by lying. The TRUTH is the TRUTH. Now I see why your business parking lot is always empty 95% of the time I pass by. I wouldn't be surprised if you have created some false accounts just to give yourself good reviews to stay in business. A word of advice to you Brian, Your desperate poorly run company maybe scrambling for business and money, but that does not give you the right to treat people like this and to get on social media and LIE. Your company charged me $75 for labor... REALLY !!!! after trying to deceive me. I had to come back to your store one final last time to make the guy refund my money for the speakers that I did not need, he claimed that i left without giving him my credit card. To be honest I'm not sure if that was the case. And if so, why did he not call me and let me know this? At any rate NO NEED to respond Mr. Brian I'm over Parkway Car Stereo because if your staff gave you that false assessment of what happened they must be on something, no wonder they could not fix my problem they are delusional and so are you for having such an inept staff with the exception of a few techs who might know what they are doing. Anyone reading this should STAY AWAY and don't gamble with this 11 years later going down hill company. I'm...

I spoke to a Johnny little over a week ago who was friendly, quoted me 350 to install my new pioneer touchscreen with 2 speakers/amp.
I followed up and called yesterday, speaking to a Danny, who told me to come in tomorrow to see the vehicle - so I drove 90+ min from where I live in eastern li to come in -- I identify myself and Danny instantly is rude "Is that suppose to mean anything" I explain we spoke yesterday on phone and ask if he can come outside and look at my car and he says " why i know what your car is" an I'm like to show you my inventory an he is so disgruntled an is quoting me so much higher than Johnny, double (who does accounting and did sales , he would know the right price) an I go back inside with him an ask him basic questions about possibly getting a backup cam and possibly a dash cam. Whenever I tried to get a word in he'd rudely cut me off mid sentence and talk at me, not with me. Like holy hell.
I politely ask him can I please finish my sentence an he tells me "this isn't working for me" and I'm like are you serious I just drove nearly 2 hours to do business with you and your not even letting me talk. He goes "so talk" with a smirk on his face.
No sympathy, no nothing. He goes on to be more mad that I'm not buying any of his weak inventory telling me it'll be 500 bucks to install a touchscreen, backup cam, and dash cam -- that's RIDICULOUS. He's like "if you get my backup and dash cam, it'll be 600 in cash - that's a deal." Which was not a deal, more like a steal. Products were already marked up.
Telling me to pay in cash so it clearly won't be a record of his foul play. Acting like it takes 5+ hours to install 3 basic things. I'm an audio visual technician, I know better. Nor do I deal with rude people question cutting me, talking over me, talking at me, and can't even recall the day before!
I only considered this place because "Crutchfield" where I got my parts from said this was the closest installer. If they only knew how toxic this place was and is!
I truly feel bad for anyone going here!
I DO NOT...
Read moreCame to Parkway for a car alarm/remote start system. I got their name from my dealership. They did the original install (which was fantastic) of a remote start at the dealer so I figured they would be familiar with the brand and it was a very clean install. I'm very particular and anal about work done on my car. Danny took his time answering all my questions and explaining everything and I had a lot of questions. He even told me not to buy something more then what I actually needed so I wouldn't waste the money. I was there quite some time and left about 1/2 hour before closing wanting to think about which system to get. I felt no pressure from Danny at all. I told him I would call him when I decided. I checked with two other stores a little closer to my home and they couldn't come close to the price that I got from Parkway. One of them said they were the largest dealer on Long Island of the brand of security system I was interested in and they were more by hundreds of dollars and it was expensive enough. I called Danny before he closed and scheduled the install for the next morning. When I dropped the car off Danny told his installer how anal and particular I am and to be extremely careful and neat. I got a call approximately 3-1/2 hours later that it was done. I was extremely happy with the job. You couldn't tell anyone worked in the car. The best auto installation job I've had and I have had a few. The car looked great and the equipment seems to work perfectly. Danny and the crew at Parkway went above and beyond. I would definitely bring my car back here and would recommend them to anyone who cares about their car and the work done to it as well as being treated right and fairly....
