The Balance Health and Wellness Center — Attraction in Town of Babylon

Today I went to have a colonic at this location. The front desk staff was nice and the initial vibe of the place was relaxing. I check in and I’m waiting for the person who will be assisting me to take me back. She first addresses me from across the room which i thought was odd. Once she comes over & introduces herself the first thing she asked was if it was my first time having this treatment. I explain that it was & i considered it for a long time & finally decided to give it a try. There wasn’t much of a consultation. She explained how the machine worked & how much water would flow through the tube. She did have to assist me with inserting the tube which i did appreciate. The process definitely worked some. I just wish there was a more in depth explanation as to what exactly i was suppose to do for the best results. Some things felt weird during the process but i just figured it was because it was my first time. At the end of the session, shes showing me how to clean myself off. She lifts the hose and it sprayed me in the face. I was visibly uncomfortable & that was the icing on the cake. She apologized and then told me it was broken. I’m just wondering why we would be picking it up if it was broken? Definitely wouldn’t go back to this place. I wasn't greeted with the warmest welcome by the front desk staff yesterday when I brought my daughter with special needs for the first time to get a foot detox. (Especially by the girl sitting at the desk to the right when you walk in).I was clearly inconveniencing her when she had to get up and set up the bath for us. I made the HUGE mistake by not completely the online booking by paying first. I did not realize that you had to pay online to complete the appt set up. So I asked if we can be seen anyway. She said ok, but Ive never felt so unwelcomed, I almost wanted to cry. So she set up the bath and just walked out of the room. She never even came back to check on us, we sat there for the entire treatment and she never even came back to offer us a towel to dry off with. We had to completely fend for ourselves and I had no idea how to interpret the results. We were just about to leave until I decided to ask someone myself what the results meant, and THAT healthcare professional was very helpful. This was my first time coming to this establishment. It came as a recommendation from my daughters dietician, however I will not be coming back. I've never been treated so poorly when getting a service...

I want to start by saying that Vincent is the only reason I’m giving any stars at all—his massages are professional, attentive, and truly focused on the client. Unfortunately, my experience with the rest of the staff was disappointing and unprofessional. During what should have been a relaxing and therapeutic session, I observed multiple employees, including Dr. F, constantly texting or using their phones—sometimes even massaging with one hand while on the phone with the other.

At one point, Dr. F dropped her phone several times and spent nearly 10 minutes looking at herself in the mirror while I was lying face down, completely ignored. The acupuncture was rushed and careless, and the massage felt like an afterthought. I genuinely felt so uncomfortable and disrespected that I wanted to cry by the end of it.

When I addressed my concerns with the front desk, I was met with a defensive and dismissive attitude. I understand that communication among staff is important, but there is a professional and respectful way to do that—especially during a client’s paid session.

I would only recommend Vincent. As for the rest, I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reconsiders how sessions...
