Our stay at Batavia Downs was a lot of fun, we went for a date night on a whim and had moments that rival larger casinos. No regular tables or card games but that was no problem. The bar area was happening and the machines were paying well. Everything was very clean and the staff was very friendly. We stayed in the hotel at Batavia Downs. The rooms were kept nicely and modern and spacious, high ceilings gave a upscale feel to the room. Our room was on the first floor and looked right out onto the track. In the morning we could see horses exercising which almost felt a little surreal. We couldn't have been more thrilled by the experience. The included breakfast buffet ends at 10:00 a.m. so make sure to set an alarm because the food was prepared nicely and kept fresh. Breakfast is served in the main track viewing area, watching the horses exercise on the track made the experience even more relaxing. My wife and I couldn't believe the night we had. The drink prices were decent and food options were very appetizing. We would highly recommend going, and we will be back in the future. Update: Year 2 and we all had a blast. Horse races were live, We ate at the Homestretch Grill and enjoyed all of our meals. Breakfast location were moved closer to the hotel area making it more convenient. Overall great time! We will be back.

We had booked the Park Place room at Batavia Downs to host an event. At a first glance, it seems like the biggest issue to overcome is the outdated 80s decor. Not in a cool retro way, but blue patterned carpets, 2-tone walls, and tacky gold painted scraps of metal all over the walls. When first talking to them, they talk about all these contacts they have to help get your event off the ground. After months of minimal contact and not actually being able to provide dimensions of the rooms we rented, we never actually got to find out about any of these contacts. Finding our own did not work out as we're not in the event industry, so we had to cancel our event. Batavia Downs kept 100% of the room rental fee. When I asked about a refund, they responded with their lawyer citing "no refunds" on the contract. The contract also stated it was only valid until a date several months prior. Aside from a poorly written contract and complete lack of customer service, who's first step in resolving customer issues is to send their lawyer? These guys. Make sure you agree 100% with everything in the contract as I'm sure even if we had our event there, they would find issues to charge additional penalties.

I drove 7 hours from South Jersey to stay at the Hotel. I was meeting up with a friend to have a fun experience. I arrived at the hotel around 4pm. It was very snowy and the parking lot was not plowed. I found a parking spot with cars all around me. I had gone to the bar for a quick drink and snack because my nerves were a little shot due to driving in the snow all day. After I wanted to relax in my room until my friend arrived. When my friend arrived we ate drank and had a great time. The next day when I was going home my car was no where to be found. A little panicked I talked to the security and they informed me that my car was probably towed. They gave me all the information that I needed but it did not sit with me very well. How can you tow my car in the parking lot when I am a paying customer for not just the casino or the restaurant but also a hotel guest. I spent a lot of money collectively. I went to guest services to talk to someone about the situation. They told me to hang a minute and they would get someone. No one came. The women had to tell me that they made a page but nobody came up. When they towed my car I was in my hotel room so there was no way I would have known. That was it. It was all on me. They were no help I found out there was another car towed and it was an employee car. That is horrible that they did it to someone that works for them. This is a very bad system. Absolutely no customer service. No Ubers. No Lyft. When I asked if there are cabs in the area they had no idea. It was a nightmare. Final cost for picking up my car was $250. That included a ride to the towing place. This is absolutely absurd. I parked were everyone else parked. With snow on the ground you could not see lines. I do understand this happens but this a flawed system. Customer service was horrible. I work in the customer service field and if I treated any of my clients this way I would be embarrassed and ashamed. With that being said I will not be...

I visited with a family member while I wasnin town. Overall, the enviroment was lively and exciting, and there was enough luck to keep you playing.

However, when we attempted to redeem a prize (100$ to be spent at a resturant inside the casino) with the family, we were told it was only for a single person, and reservations had to be made in advance, and the money had to be spent on the same day as receiving it.

The lady at the desk for the resturant was extremely rude to everyone in the party, and unapologetic about it. When I pointed out it would be ridiculous for a single person to book a reservation in the same day, and eat 100$ worth of food in a single setting under normal circumstances, she said she would have to talk to her manager to clarify.

We spoke to the hospitality manager about our experience, and she mentione she was "not surprised" by the employee's attititude and behavior towards us, and went to clarify with her.

A more senior manager came to speak with us, and he smoothed it over, providing us with several cards renewable for drinks. The food was good, once we sat and had dinner, but the waitress was rather short, and innatentive. The prices are not marked on the menu, quoting "market price". Which, can be valid, but with the receiving treatment, and the t-shirts the staff wore as uniforms, the overall vibe was pretentious, and self-inflated.

Overall, ny impression of the casino facilities were favorable, and if you go to game and have some drinks at the bar, you will likely enjoy yourself highly.

However, if this is an entire evening for you, consider getting dinner...

Stay the night at the hotel New Year’s Day decided to eat at rush 34. Very disappointed in the quality of food. I ordered a steak Sub my wife ordered a chicken wrap and chicken finger basket they had the lights turned off when our food arrived. I took a few bites of my steak sub and it had a funny taste so I use the flashlight on my phone to look at the food and it hade mold all over on my steak sub and the chicken fingers from the chicken finger basket was undercooked so my wife called the waitress over she said she would take care of it. She tried bringing me more food, but I didn’t feel comfortable eating anything after that experience. she was giving us problems trying to not let me take it off my bill, trying to force me into eating more of the rotten food. after eating there I was sick for two days think I got food poisoning from there I seen the general manager walking around, so I brought the situation up to him. He didn’t seem too concerned about it very unprofessional if the cooks in the kitchen wasn’t walking around drinking beer on the job they could probably do their job properly do not go to this casino Worst places to go they can Control the speed of the games I use to always hit bonuses till they start Controlling the speed of the game Someone should call a gaming board on them all their jackpots are always on sane day because they control the machines. That’s not right and should be against the law this used to be my favorite place to go till they started ripping people off and the bar is always serving Underage kids With alcohol and letting Underage...
