I’ve been soooo ready to get back into school after taking a long break & honestly I’ve been rushing, APPLYING APPLYING APPLYING. & this school accepted my admission really quickly (a day after i applied if im not mistaken) which i didn’t think anything of it i just thought they had a fast admission process. But after getting registered something told me to go research the school & look at their reviews, & boy oh boy was i shocked. I’ve never seen a school with THIS many bad reviews. & recent too.
But i still decided to give them a chance. Me personally i like to give something a chance even after bad reviews. I registered & my counselor told me to reach to my instructors to introduce myself ETC ETC , since i registered a day after the semester started & i did… only received responses back from two. First red flag because why aren’t you responding back to your students?? I responded so professionally greeted them & everything did i receive that same energy back? HELL NO. Then i see reviews about financial aid & it doesn’t surprise me that these schools are money hungry.
Received a email from my counselor about paying stuff out of pocket + FASFA . If my FASFA if covering my education why do i have to pay for ANYTHING out of pocket? SECOND RED FLAG! I’ve been registered for a day & im already seeing the red flags which is why i made the decision to not continue my education here. I’m glad i didn’t start class or anything like that cus i would’ve been tight if i started to invest & i didn’t like it, putting myself into a debt. We all know once you withdraw within a certain time you’re gonna have a balance.
0/10 do not recommend PUHLEASE believe the reviews. ‼️‼️the faculty, their disorganization, their communication, financial AID, greed, the list goes on!!!! It’s wayyy too many red flags I’m experiencing already & i haven’t been enrolled a week. I will def be removing them off...
Read moreIf it wasn't for the great friends I made ,during my time attending here, I could easily say attending this "university" was one of the worst decisions I've ever made. The college itself was extremely helpful when it came to taking out loans to pay their exorbitant tuition, but the pleasantries ended the minute the check was cashed. During my time as a student, I was misled by guidance into believing the classes I was taking would be appropriate for the plan I had laid out. In my final semester of my senior year, I was told another year of classes would be needed if I wanted to pursue a graduate degree in my field. I was informed that a number of the classes I was "guided" to take would not count for anything I needed. This is the same school that forces pottery classes on accounting majors for graduation. The continued slap in the face is the sense of entitlement the school feels after failing me. The cute little emails and letters they still send asking for money, a decade later, make sure to keep the wounds from ever truly closing. The best decision I made during my time attending St. Josephs was leaving for a year for Suffolk Community College. The staff at a community college was far superior in every way to this joke of a private school. If you are looking for a thorough higher education and/or the college experience, please look elsewhere. It...
Read moreI was in the ABA program and decided to drop my classes because the program was very chaotic. I did 2 weeks of classes and was told that I would be responsible for 60% & 80% of tuition. I asked if I could set up a payment plan and was told yes, but I had to wait until the following semester to do so. The semester ended in Decembe, and the new semester begins in January, and February 6th my bill was sent to collection. When I asked why, I was told that I did not pay, and they did not hear from me. I have attended other colleges and have owed money to all, and my bill has NEVER been turned over to collection. (especially in such a short space of time). I am convinced that the ONLY thing SJC/U cares about is money. I was asked if I wanted to put my classes on hold for the following semester, or did I want to drop my classes, I said “I wanted to drop my classes” I knew SJC was not where I belong, sending my bill to collection now make me realize this is definitely not where I belong. This is by far the worst college I have attended. I'm glad I was only there for a week and a half. Students Beware!!! There are more recognized colleges out there that that will care about you and will not take you to collection within a month to...
