I’m not sure if all the Ulta locations are like this or just the one at Colonie Center. But be careful when you do an order pickup here. I sent my husband to get my order pickup in the morning. And when I finally opened the packages, they were both used products. So we had to drive back in hopes to do a simple swap to you know unused products. Anyways, at first, the girl at the door told us, oh just go get the same products and go to the checkout counter and they can swap them out for you. We went grabbed the products. However, when we got to the counter, and explained the situation. We just picked these up, they were both used products, can we swap them out. And the girl said oh you can’t do a return yet because you just picked it up so the charge is still pending on your card. You can come back tomorrow and do a return. First of all, I wasn’t trying to do a return. I was simply trying to get the products I paid for in unopened, unused condition. I asked if they would just swap them since they gave me bad products to begin with, and she said she had to get a manager. Anyways, the manager was able to show her how to do a manual return for the same day pickup order. I just feel like this entire process could have been avoided if they just added a quality control step in their pickup...

I booked two appointments online for facials, showed up 10 minutes early and had my confirmations in hand only to be told once I was in the store that I could not be seen for either appointment. I had a 430 and 445 appointment at 440 she finally came out and asked me if I had an appointment I said yes showed her my confirmations and she told me someone else was booked at 430 and his appointment was booked a long time ago. Why would I be able to book an appointment during that time if someone already had an appointment. Also that person was 10 minutes late meanwhile I was there waiting well before my appointment time and I’m the one that gets turned away. I honestly cannot believe the lack of customer service. You should be disappointed in your booking process and employees. Not only did she tell me I couldn’t be seen but she also said this was a reoccurring issue with appointments. Read moreDefinitely not a professional experience. I had booked two appointments almost two months ago for a formal hair updo for appointments on Saturday. We received a phone call today(Tuesday) that no one was available to do it. We were told that the hair stylists who we booked are no longer there. Frankly, all of their appointments should have been rescheduled when they were no longer affiliated with the company. We did not receive an apology and we had to scramble to find somebody else because of the lack of professionalism and consideration that we experienced. This honestly was one of the worst experiences of customer service that I have ever had. It left me almost no time to find some place else to do the hair styles and no time to book an appointment at a different location since they all work booked. Luckily, I was able to find another place on this very short notice. This could have been handled in a completely different way in both customer service and professionalism.
