Croton-Harmon Train Station Parking Lot — Attraction in Town of Cortlandt

Great for parking and getting to the Croton Harmon train station. There are several pay stations. One in parking lot and one nearby the entrance to the train station. Each one has 3 pay machines. Remember your parking spot number to enter into the machine. Good parking lot BUT: Over full during the week. Very expensive $12 until 11:59pm. Beyond you need to pay for multiple days. Limit is 31 days. If you come late hopefully you will find parking at all and if you even get lucky there is a long walk from the faraway parking spots. There are monthly paid parking area. If you do a daily parking in these spots you WILL BE TICKETED and FINED! Read signs CAREFULLY! On weekends lots of close spots, easy and cheaper $5 per day until 3am (3h later 😀 ). as far as commuting to the city or upstate goes, the train is awesome. it can get crowded on weekends and holidays, but usually you can find a seat. one trick is to find trains that originate at this station, since it is one of the major stops.

First off, it's a parking lot... Actually, years ago it was a quaint "little" parking lot with a gravel surface, trees and even a stream. I used to love parking under the willow towards the rear. Then the people who independently owned it sold it to Metro North who worked their magic and turned it into an airport parking lot. At least it doesn't flood anymore! That was bad. Not much...
