I needed to return some large and extremely heavy/bulky items back to an online carpet store, and tried a UPS store in Mt. Kisco where I waited in a non-moving line with absolutely no acknowledgment from the customer service reps of the people waiting in line. After 15 minutes of waiting and the line not only not moving, but no acknowledgement of any of us waiting, I left.
I saw that there was a store in Croton Point and headed there. Wow what a difference!! I went inside to ask if I could borrow a trolley to bring my boxes in, and one of the staff actually offered to help me! He came out to the car, helped me with the 4 enormous boxes, and we went inside. And man, what I thought would be a simple task wasn't one - because I had to spend a lot of time on the phone with the rug company trying to get them to pay for their own mistake (they wanted me to pay for shipping back an item that was represented incorrectly on their website!). The UPS staff was INCREDIBLY patient with me, and even kept the boxes near the counter for me while I spent at least an hour on phone calls (the shipping of the rugs back was going to cost over $500....) taken from my car.
In the end, the rug company did the right thing and handled it, but they ended up scheduling a pick-up from my house the next day. The UPS staff was so nice about it, even helping me get the stupid boxes BACK to my car, that I'll never use another store again for my shipping - Croton will get ALL of my business and I ship a lot of stuff....

   Read moreI’ve taken my work packages to this location since 2013, lots of turnover in this location, they have no idea who I am, Inconsistent service and friendliness there is 1 man in particular who denies my packages b/c I sharpie out the hazard sign, 99.9% of the time they take my boxes. all the other store clerks do w/o a problem, tonight he denied me, I asked him could he put a white 2 label over it…like the nice man at the Briarcliff store does for me. He said no. the actual UPS man told me outside the store they take them all the time, even the ones not properly covered! I always try to accommodate my customers last minute orders especially during the holidays. Tonight 3 small business in westchester will not get the shipment needed for their own clients tomorrow all bc this 1 difficult employee who would not accept the boxes completely with the triangle completely blacked.
