I do not understand why the EF Library does not allow tutoring to take place during the summer months beginning at 10:00 a.m. when the library opens instead of 11:00 a.m.. Additionally, when signing up for a tutor table (the photo depicts a table with 3 chairs) - you are only allowed to have one tutor and one student at the table. I don't understand what difference that makes. Why can't there be two students and a Tutor working just as quietly as two at the table? After several unanswered phone calls and emails to the Library, I finally received a call back explaining that these are the rules the Board put in place after Covid. As a taxpayer and resident, I view the Library as a Community space - I do not feel that this is the case here. Rules are important I know; but if the Library is already controlling the Tutoring sessions with sign up - what is the harm in 3 people at a table and beginning an hour earlier - especially during the Summer months. I grew up in a town where the Library was the nucleus of the town - welcoming, inviting, helpful. Times have certainly...
Read moreThe only complaint I have about this library is in regards to what the Director does to unclaimed Field Goods drop offs. As far as the policy from Field Good's website states that the drop off location is not responsible for holding on to the bag after delivery day. That does not mean you as a drop off can distribute something that does not belong to you.
Edited Response: We know for a fact that the library benefits from being a pickup site as it gains donations for every bag purchased. So your site is not being "gracious" for serving as a drop off site, you benefit from it. You want to be gracious, do it without a donation from Field Goods.
The forgotten bag was there for less than 24 hours, there is no way that the contents would have spoiled. By saying you should be able to distribute the Field Goods as you please, because you want to avoid spoilage, from locally sourced, and fresh goods, you're saying that maybe those goods are not as fresh as Field Goods claims? That is an excuse and perversion...
Read moreThe 10 people who work here (at the same time) are extremely rude. I went to the bathroom and outside to make a phone call for an interview and was gone for a total of 22 minutes and they took all my stuff put it in a box and called the police. Who does that??!!?? I was there for like 8 hours or more and I can not get a 25 minute break to try and get a new job and use the bathroom? You kidding me? Such a nice library too it's a shame a few of the Emoloyess are so rude and undetstanding out people's situations. I guess next time I will take the call in the library and have a 15-20 minute convo and interrupt everyone...
