Your reply makes it clear why the customer service aspect of Hopewell Hot Bagels is what it is. Rather than the Owner listening to a customer (others have raised the same issues) about areas that could use improvement, you choose to minimize the accuracy of the order and defend the long lines, slow service without any acknowledgment that people are waiting and walking out. I presume you have never heard the expression "Nice customers don't complain, the just go away". I am truly sorry that you found my feedback "Hurtful". At least your employees are having fun.

Initial review: Stopped in on a Saturday about 10:30am. The line was log but I figured it would move quickly. I was wrong. People were leaving behind me but I stuck it out. Once the line moved enough that I could see the workers, young girls, moving slowly, talking to each other and giggling, I realized that the manager and/or owner has no idea what's going on. I thought surely if they did know, this would be corrected. after 45 minutes on line I was greeted. It would have been nice to hear something like Thank you for waiting, I'm sorry for the delay. Instead she just asked what I would like. I placed my order for 2 sesame bagels with lox spread NOT toasted. After a few minutes I received the order, Got in my car and headed out. When we went to eat the bagels, we realized the bagels were toasted, the cream cheese melted, exactly what I was wanting to avoid. A few days later, a friend mentioned long lines there as well the week before. He said they don't care if people leave, they make too much that they just don't care. Arrived Saturday mid-morning. Parking is available but a bit tricky to navigate when the lot is busy. There is a separate side entrance to pickup phone and online orders. Counter people were pleasant. Long line when we got there but it moved quickly so the wait wasn't too bad. They still had a full assortment of bagels to choose from, along with donuts, pastries, cookies, and apple cider donuts from a local farm market. There's a nice-sized dining room with lots of natural light, but we did not eat in. This was our first visit, inspired by a coupon we got in the mail for three free bagels when you buy six. We asked for one of the bagels toasted with butter, which we got, but found when we got home we had been charged for it, meaning we paid for 10 bagels (six plus three free plus the buttered one), but only got nine, as there were only eight bagels in the bag plus the buttered one in a separate bag. It was only like $2 so not the end of the world, but still. They also charge extra if you want the bagels sliced, which I haven't experienced before. Bagels themselves were OK, not bad but not great. I got sausage egg and cheese on a toasted plain bagel, and I found the bagel a bit gummy, but again, not bad (It didn't stop me eating the whole sandwich). Maybe I just got a bad one? Quite possibly the best bagel I’ve ever eaten. I went to Hopewell Hot Bagels on a Sunday at 10:30am. Didn’t walk out with my order till about 11am. Be prepared to wait and just know it’s worth it. Don’t try and call in during this time because you’ll be met with a busy tone. Pictured is a everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and bacon along with an egg bagel with fried eggs, bacon and American cheese. I also picked up a donut, a dozen bagels and coffee since I visiting a friend in the area and didn’t want to go empty handed. Fun fact: they carry Katz donuts in almost all variety and quantities. If you know about Katz, visiting this spot is worth that alone. All items were reasonably priced and everything tasted amazing. You’ll be met with a busy staff and long line wrapped into the dining room if you go during a rush hour. Besides that, I know I had one of the best breakfast bagels in the Hudson Valley. I’ll be back very very soon! Hopewell Hot Bagels, keep doing what you’re doing - You’re excellent at it.

UPDATE NOVEMBER 2022: Removed one star. Don’t online order and expect it ready when scheduled because their system does not work like that.
