Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Goshen Middletown — Attraction in Town of Goshen

Wow! I cant say enough good about this Hotel. 😊👏 However, the 1st thing I need to mention is... our GPS got us lost at first. It sent us into the middle of backwoods upstate NY. (I'm talking Texas Chainsaw Massacre, backdrop!!) 🤣🤣🤣🤦‍♀️ So MAKE SURE when you're navigating, that your destination is Fairfield Inn & suites by Marriott, NOT 551 NY 211!!! For some reason our Navi switched it on us halfway through the trip and we landed in a very scary place! Lol It was only 15 mins from the hotel, but was still scary !! 🤣🤣🤣

Now onto the hotel, I have always been hesitant about staying in any "Laquintas" past experience leads me to believe they're ALL roach motel/dumps. Well don't let that name fool you if you're in this area!!! The hotel is only a little over a year old and is BEAUTIFUL!!! It's clean, it smells fresh, the rooms are immaculate ( 327/230), the Lobby is grand and airy. The staff are ALL helpful, kind and treat you as a "guest" in their home. Not just the next "customer" to book a room. There's a nice little patio out back with some nice chairs and a gas fireplace ( which can be turned on at your request day or night). I had a nice little chat with "Niccole " ( I guess the manager) who said she's been here since it was a HOJO's and watched it get knocked down and rebuilt from the ground up! And she called it her "baby" and tries to take care of thebplace as I'd it were her home. And I told her ... mission accomplished!!!👏 She's done a FABULOUS job at keeping the hotel clean and stay worthy!! I found this on Priceline when booking a trip to Legoland ( 12 mins up the road) and am SO glad I did!!!! Restaurants across the street and a Starbucks in the same lot!! Stayed here overnight from June 10th 2023 to June 11th 2023 for a wedding that My family and i attended. Got there after checkout time, and the person at the front desk said the room wasn't ready yet. Fantastic... but just some feedback, perhaps maybe the housekeepers could try to be earlier, because especially if there's an event like a wedding going on, some people chose to change when they got to the hotel, so it is essential for the room to be ready by check in time. Anyways, Although, we only had to wait 15/20 minutes for our room to be ready to get checked in, after that we checked in accordingly. Room was very nice, and clean, the shower was easy to operate.Loved the shades that looked like trees! Only complaint for me was that there is only 1 comforter on the bed, and i was kind of chilly. Didn't even see another blanket that i can use in the closet or anything. I managed, but perhaps stocking the room with extra blankets for people who may be chilly may help. other than that, very clean room and lobby. They have a coffee/tea station in the lobby, and also has breakfast, but we slept through breakfast as it was only 7am-9am. Checkout the next day was easy. Not sure if i would ever stay again though, but is a nice hotel. I travel frequently as a Titanium Elite Marriott Bonvoy Member. I was traveling from NC to NYC Warwick for a small Davis family reunion, we drove 10 hours up. I was so pleased with the excellent customer service upon being checked in by Lisa Front Desk office Manager. Lisa made sure my family and I had rooms that were on the same floor after traveling from different parts of the state. We had family flying in from Houston Texas and driving from North Carolina, we were tired upon arrival and Lisa made us laugh with her great energy and smile. After a long day of traveling we retired for the evening. Later that night I came down to front desk and Nia helped me with extra blankets for my mother who is always cold, Nia was very professional and very helpful. After returning to bed, I was awaken by the fire alarms at 2:30am....... This was unfortunate because my family and I were tired from our long travels, however we came down to the lobby area where Nia was working night audit, and immediately I was impressed by the way Nia kept all the guest calm despite them trying to blame her for the sirens, like there was something she could have done about them. Nia had the fireman come and get the sirens resolved asap...! So my family and I were able to return to bed.
