Thanks for the Great food! But the worst experience ever!
We’ve been looking forward to bringing everyone to your diner because we had such good food every time we went. So after church at GraceOC we decided today is the day we’ll eat and enjoy good food. We got there and was talking about how busy it was because food is good. Then it was our turn to be seated. Roxanne brought us to our table then we started looking at rhe menu right away. On our table we have 6 Adults and 3 kids, one of which has Autism (5 y/o). While we were looking at the menu my nephew, E, took ONE packet of sugar and was playing with it and that helped calm him down. He wanted to open it up and put in a bowl so he got up and decided hes gonna take a paper bowl which was right next to our table and then while reaching for it Roxanne pulled the bowls and said not to touch the plates. She was right and we apologized. E was brought back to his seat and then went back to playing with the Sugar packet. Then to our surprise, Roxanne marched to our table and talked to E directly and told him to please not open the sugar because its a waste of money. E wasn’t looking at her and she decided to reach for the sugar and pull it off his hand, E kept saying “No” and was holding on the sugar so my sister (E’s mom) finally said to Roxanne dont worry we’ll just pay for the Sugar packets. finally Roxanne went away without apologizing.
It was the most uncomfortable and unenjoyable meal we’ve had. Our server Sarah tried her best to keep us comfortable and she was great but we already have a “bad taste in our mouth” before our meal came.
The bill came and what was included in the bill was $15 for sugar. We went to pay for the whole bill but Sarah asked that the $15 (which we really didn’t mind paying for.) be removed, so it was.
The other manager on the cashier apologized and we explained that we shouldnt have to tell somebody that somebody has #autism just so we’d be treated nicely.
One of the first lesson that we were taught as kids is to Not grab and keep your hands to yourself. Why you have somebody working as your receptionist that could be that rude is wild to me.

Read moreWe waited 25 minutes before anyone came and took our food order. While waiting to have our food order taken the hostess and/or manager with the long black curly hair took our menus away. I told her we didn’t yet order and she said she had to take the menus. After we finally ordered our food, we waited another 45+ minutes for it. We were a party of 5 and had young children with us. 4 tables who arrived after us had already gotten their food. I eventually got up to ask the ladies at the desk if our food would be coming out anytime soon. The lady with the long black curly hair rudely responded to me that they were “busy can’t you tell what do you want me to do about it”. I asked for her to check if our food is coming out or we are leaving to go someplace else. She rolled her eyes at me and asked me what table I was sitting at. When I turned around to point the waitress had put the first 2 plates of food down. My husband asked her to please give us the check cause we were in a hurry. It took another 5 or so minutes before the rest of the tables food came out. Still no check. No syrup came out with the pancakes (first 2 plates that were set down). After the last 3 plates were set down we asked for syrup and the check again. My husbands egg skillet was not supposed to have cheese since he’s lactose and of course it had cheddar cheese. We ate quickly, after finishing our food still no check….
The waitress never returned to ask how the food was, no management ever came to check on us. I had to yell at our waitress as she ran past our table for the check which she finally brought over. Our bill was just shy of $100.
I also want to point out that there were plenty of empty tables and no wait at the door so the excuse that they’re “busy” was unacceptable to wait over an hour to eat at a diner.
While sitting I observed the lady with the black curly hair screaming at the waitstaff in front of the restaurant. I also overheard her badmouthing me to another customer for being upset our food was taking so long.
The food was alright, typical diner food not anything spectacular. We won’t be...
Read moreNow this is how diner food is supposed to be served. I don't know if anyone has read pass reviews about the diners I've experienced but this place right here serves it up nice and hot. Walked in sat in the vestibule area waited to be cold. They had two blackboards on the outside of the main doors into the diner which all patrons had a chance to read over in case they wanted the blackboard special. This made for a great way to deter your stomach from reminding you that you are hungry. So once we were called to be seated by the hostess we had already viewed the menu and knew what we wanted. I was pleasantly pleased to know that my meal was not as expensive as I thought it would be and I received so much food that I had to take some home with me. My girlfriend thought the buffalo chicken wrap was the most absolutely greatest of greatest of greatest buffalo chicken wrap she had ever experienced. I don't know about all that but if she says so, lol I never tried it. I can only judge from what I've actually experienced. I enjoyed the Belgian waffle. It was prepared near perfection it was a little light on the color. I could have dealt with it being a little darker but still nonetheless it was fluffy all the dough inside was cooked and the heat of the Belgian waffle melted the butter until the little pad was no more lol. Perfectly done the eggs, bacon and sausage. delicious. I did not experience any dirty dishes I did not experience any cold food. On our way out we paid the bill and of course that's where the cheesecakes were, right in the refrigerator at the cash register. Always something to tempt you to make you want to buy a slice. They look very good but I didn't buy anything. Nonetheless I'll leave the picture for your eye pleasure. I believe I will visit here again. I'm not on this side of town often but at least if I do come back I'll know where to...
