Wegmans — Attraction in Town of Greece

Always out of things now. The smaller quant Wegman stores NEVER ran out of anything. Britton Rd never should've closed. I'M NOT HAPPY TO SAY 1 NEGATIVE thing about Wegmans AT ALL! However, things have officially & consistently stayed this way fo r me to now add my extremely disappointed and sadly typed comments/facts. I NEVER shop in any Wegmans anymore at all except for my monthly pharmacy at Mt. Read store. The crew here you can't find ANYWHERE else I'm putting my name with these facts obviously. Regards to the store itself the prices are ALL outrageous and it's time to get the "BOB WEGMAN" Way back or this beautiful name will just get lost with the annoying, overpriced chain type stores!!! The BOB WEGMAN Way included: a.) TOP CUSTOMER SERVICE no matter what your job was. ESPECIALLY the front of the line staff cashiers AND service desk. b.) Prices beat everyone always c.) QUALITY wasn't even a question c.) MOST IMPORTANTLY AVAILABILITY WAS NOT EVEN A WORD NEEDED BECAUSE W EGMAN CONSISTENTLY AND NO MATTER WHAT THE PRODUCT WAS FULLY STOCKED AT ALL STORES d.) ALL stores consistently carried the same products = IF I had a say in the company, Id build a hand full of BRITTON RD type stores that had ☆☆ ☆ "ALL OF THE ABOVE" as a mandated rule book. If any store broke these the GM of that store has 3 chances or he's demoted for a long long time. (unless he/she had serious offenses fired is not appropriate only extreme demotion. ) The "SUPER SIZED" Stores such as Mt Read & Pittsford carried all above still as the mandated rule BUT UNIQUE ITEMS ETC.

NOW DON'T GET ME WRONG BELOW ARE QUALITIES OF WEGMANS THAT I HAVEN'T FOUND ANYWHERE ELSE!!! ☆ VEGETABLES/FRUIT/PRODUCE beyond long lasting freshness ☆ QUALITY of all items whatsoever same as above ☆ FAIR WITH ISSUES, RETURNS, FRIENDLY MANAGEMENT (IF) you happen to see anyone these days? etc.

☆ ☆☆☆☆☆☆ MY "PERSONAL" MAIN DISAPPOINTED IS MY FAMILY'S 30+yrs of the large, round and fully frosted cookie cake with the original frosting. From $12-15 now a SAD, SMALL SQUARE SIZE that's supposed to be rectangle non frosted cake over $35 OH MY RIP OFF AND 2nd year for my sister and I WITHOUT since we were...

Prices have risen drastically over the past year and the portions have gotten smaller, especially with their salads! A $6meal is now $8 but again you don't get any more, in fact you get less&freshness is undetermined as they are now available already prepared. There haven't been any prepared salads available past 7pm lately&the fresh food bars are closed. The sushi case is also basically empty after 7pm&the spicy crab salad in brown rice is nonexistent anymore. Plus the employees are rude. I wouldn't go there if I didn't have to bc its closest to my house. I'm on disability&don't drive so therefore I need a ride. I'm injured&use a cane to walk and am constantly being run over&through by Wegmans employees. Wegmans used to be the apitomy of cleanliness, freshness&customer service. At these prices, poor quality of produce that rots within 2days, lack of product&lack of care or customer service&management is a joke. Not to mention the amount of employees just socializing with one another while they're supposed to be working or on their cell phones has increased to an astronomical number. I used to work at a different location and had I done any of those things actions would have been taken but management seems to be lacking as well. Either just in not being there or doing the same as their employees, socializing...

In recent years Wegmans has changed a lot. They have taken more brand names off their shelves and replace them with Wegmans brands that are made in Canada. With the Canadian tariffs that we are going to start seeing I doubt the prices will be able to reflect a deep discount as they do now. Honestly, their brand products are not that good. Olives were blan, some cheeses are okay, canned products are lacking a lot of flavor. When it comes to cashing out, Wegmans has replaced a lot of cashiers with self checkout. There's only 2 or 3 cashiers at most at any given time. So hopefully you only need to get 20 items or less! Lol! The 20 items or less would take you to a self checkout. Please note, there are cameras that every single one and seven or eight cameras when you first walk in the door. There's also two or three security guards at the door/walking the floor at any given time. While the East avenue store and pittsford stores remain beautiful the stores on Mount Read and in the Long pond area are not as good as they used to be. I miss Bob, Danny and his family are not doing anything the way Bob did. I will be shopping a lot more at public markets, Amish markets and direct from the farmer if possible. Times are...
