House of Sports is a spectacular facility that contains a turf field for soccer, lacrosse, and football, 4 full court hardwood basketball courts, ventilation, good lighting, and a food court with a place to sit. They feature an ice cream machine, a fountain drink station, food and sports drink vending machines, an assortment of common foods, such as pretzels, wraps, and french fries, which is convenient for recovering players after their workouts or parents watching their kids play. This is a great place for AAU and menās league tournaments as well, as they do a good job with their scoreboard display and hosting events with referees, organizing tournaments, practices, tryouts, and meetings. Additionally, they have fair pricing for rentals and open play. Business hours are posted on their website or posted on their social medias. Plus, they are good with COVID protocols! However, there are a few concerns. As for the basketball courts, there are a few dead spots (where a basketball may not bounce regularly). Also, they can work on scheduling (such as notifying customers the time of tournaments or the reservation of a basketball court for volleyball) and making sure court renters arenāt interrupted by other attendees that are trying to integrate with a party without paying. Lastly, they can do a better job with communicating, as there are barely any representatives that pick up the phone. All in all, I strongly recommend House of Sports to anyone remotely close to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreKids Birthday Parties: So far have been at this venue twice for birthday parties. I believe service to be really spotty and they have become really lax over time.
-1st time - Large boy's birthday party: Two people ran the shooting portion (which is really the main reason for using this venue.) The Kids had fun, all was well. Parents hosting it were really type A personalities, so all was well covered. No major or minor problems that time. -2nd time: LACK OF SUPERVISION IN ARENA A BIG PROBLEM. Two guys were there prior to shooting beginning. The second guy left during the speech portion, leaving only 1 guy to supervise 16 kids in the shooting arena. There were problems with the guns, all the kids said it really hurt alot (some of the kids had done this many times before complained as to how much it hurt - I had to wonder whether these guns had been calibrated properly - especially given how shoddy the organization seemed), it seemed totally disorganized. Most concerning to me, as a parent, was that one kid made the mistake of taking mask off right before walking out, and another kid who was having trouble with the gun accidentally shot him in the face. The one and only employee had to leave the area and run downstairs. He was being very nice, but why don't they have at least those emergency cold...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Elm street corner of sports! How absolutely fantastic that the House of Sports exists on top of what was Ardsley Indoor Tennis back in the 1960s and 70s. This back corner of the world was destined for sports I guess for decades and for the future. If you're a sports fan and play the sports that they offer, then I highly suggest the programs. This corner of the world has some sentimental value for those who loved to play indoor tennis back in the 1970s. The building is almost exactly the same but lifted in the air and the roof was extended higher. I'm sure the owners take great pride in what they are offering young people in this area. Give them a try please. Look up their website and go see in person what they have to offer. If you want quality training you'll find it here. I've had many neighbors who have sent their children to their programs. Look up their website and go see in person what they have to offer. If you want quality training you'll find it here.
