My partner and I usually go to Oasis Manhattan but they were fully booked this past week and I believe that was divine intervention. From the moment you walk into Oasis Westchester Spa you are greeted with warmth. We were half an hour early for our massages but that was not a problem. The receptionist was kind and immediately supplied us with slippers and robes. She welcomed us an explained that we could enjoy the sauna and refreshments in the lounge while we waited. The waiting room is calm, quiet, and serene. It truly sets the mood for a relaxing session. Yet the best part was my therapist Alicia. She was so kind and attentive. I told her that I had recently given birth and she immediately understood my need to unwind. She asked me what my target areas were and understood that for the most part, I'd enjoy absolute silence during my session. She only spoke to me when directing me and she really provided me with the best 90 minute deep tissue massage ever. It was so great, she put me to sleep! I say this because never have I fallen asleep during a massage but Alicia just made me feel so relaxed. Plus she understood my love for eucalyptus because she ensured that the room smelled like it at all times. After the session she warmly invited me to relax on the warm bed as long as I needed to despite the fact that we were some of the last customers of the evening and they were about to close. Once I exited the room, Alicia met me with refreshment and kind words.
My partner's therapist was Hope. He stated that she was an absolute sweetheart. My partner is a talker...lol...and he enjoyed the fact that Hope allowed him to engage her in kind banter. He stated that he left feeling so relaxed and hopes that Hope has a lovely trip!
In other words, if you haven't gotten it from our review...book with Oasis Westchester...book now because you won't regret it. We will definitely be booking again soon.
Major thanks to Alicia and Hope. Oases truly is blessed to have such great employees who are clearly passionate about the...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal client at this spa for years, but unfortunately, my New Year’s Eve visit was very disappointing. I had booked a massage to end the year on a relaxing note, but the experience fell far below expectations.
Upon arrival, the receptionist asked me to check out before my services began, explaining they were trying to speed things up. This felt rushed and unprofessional, especially since other guests were allowed to check out afterward. The lack of consistency in treatment was disheartening, and at the end of my visit, the receptionist didn’t even ask how my services went although she asked the person checking out after me.
The massage itself was unlike any I’ve had before and not in a good way. The masseuse primarily used one or two fingers throughout the session, resulting in inconsistent and ineffective pressure. A professional deep tissue massage typically involves full-hand techniques such as kneading, pressing, and stretching, none of which were utilized. I paid extra for a deep tissue service, but the quality did not reflect that. Whether this was due to inadequate training or something else, it was far below the standard I’ve come to expect from this spa.
Following the massage, I had a facial that, while adequate, also left much to be desired. Despite politely declining an upgrade to the HydraFacial multiple times, I was asked repeatedly 4-5 times whether I wanted to proceed with it, which was frustrating and unnecessary. Additionally, the esthetician mentioned I had a significant buildup but only spent about five minutes on extractions, which felt rushed compared to previous facials I’ve received. The remainder of the session primarily involved the application of serums and creams, which felt more like a product application than a thorough treatment.
Overall, my experience at Oasis Spa was deeply disappointing, and I regret spending my New Year’s Eve there. This visit was a stark departure from the quality I’ve come to expect over the years, and it has left me...
Read moreOasis Day Spa in Westchester truly lives up to its name—it is my personal oasis of calm and rejuvenation. From the moment I walk through the doors, I feel an immediate sense of relaxation and tranquility. The atmosphere is thoughtfully designed, with soft lighting, soothing aromas, and calming music that create a serene environment perfect for unwinding.
One of the highlights of my visits is my 90-minute massage with Jim, who is nothing short of an exceptional massage therapist. His expertise is evident from the very first moment of the session. He has an incredible ability to pinpoint and address areas of chronic tension, particularly in my tight shoulders and hips, which are my problem areas. His skillful techniques not only relieve physical discomfort but also create a space where I can completely mentally decompress.
What truly sets Jim apart is his attentiveness and professionalism. Before each session, he takes the time to ask about any specific concerns or areas that need focus, ensuring that every massage is personalized to my immediate needs. He intuitively knows the exact spots to work on to release tension, leaving me feeling both physically lighter and emotionally grounded by the end of the session.
I also make it a point to arrive early so I can take full advantage of the spa's amenities. The steam room is a fantastic way to begin my visit—it helps me loosen up and get into a relaxed state before my massage. The waiting room is another gem, with its comfortable seating, soothing ambiance, and an array of refreshments that make it the perfect place to unwind before or after treatments.
Overall, Oasis Day Spa delivers an exceptional experience every time I visit. It’s a haven where I can escape the stresses of daily life and truly focus on self-care. I cannot recommend it enough, particularly if you book a session with Jim—you will not be...
