Apple Motor Inn — Hotel in Town of Greenburgh

Well, reading the comments, I find it just a TAD ridiculous. There are no hotels in the world that no one has had sex in, so that is an unrealistic expectation and assumption. I truly like this hotel because it's simplicity makes it cute/homely/safe feeling. The room itself is just the right size for 1 or 2 people. My room has a king size bed, a large dresser, a microwave, mini fridge, little area to put make-up on/do your hair, a 2 seating little dining area within in the room, and two bed stands. It has a I think 29 in T.V hooked up on the corner wall which could use a little updating (some of the coloring is off), but it does the job. The bathroom is spacious enough, with nice toilets, a huge sink, and a fairly large tub/shower. It's quiet around here (Ardsley is a great area with almost no crime), so the only people that are around the hotel's property are the people who are "tenants". It has a lot of plugs too, so my boyfriend and I are able to plug in our laptops and do what we want (like college work, gaming, and so on). The internet is fairly decent for free internet - with 14 ping, 9.12 mbps download speed, and 2.87 mbps upload speed. By nature, it slows down late at night because a lot of people check-in and use the Internet.. but it still works. Be warned though, when my boyfriend went to the room, he turned on the T.V and it was on a porn channel on channel 43. So, if you are coming here with kids, just try to avoid that channel - because some people who use the room before are not decent enough to at least put it on another channel or just sometimes they simply forget! Anyway, I have nothing but positive experiences with this place and the staff are friendly. Oh, and a huge plus is that everything is walking distance! Hope...

Please do not rely on what you see on the reviews or sites. The websites aren't linked to them. Reservations have to be made 1-2 weeks in advance unless specified by the receptionist. You CAN NOT reserve last minute or on Fridays and Saturdays, those days go by first come first served. Prices range!! Holidays the prices might go up. Just like everything else goes up so do the prices so PLEASE don't be surprised if the prices aren't the same as two - four years ago (They are a small business and need to make money too). They have overnights for _ said amount. Everything is with tax included!! Reminder this is a MOTEL not a hotel. Don't come at the people in the front desk for their prices or rules and regulations, they don't make them, they simply follow procedures and protocols given to them by their manager. Summer time it might be a bit more difficult to book rooms (it gets PACKED) so its a hit or miss sometimes. (Certain times they don't book during summertime) and you can only stay for a short period of time during the summer ( as a business women I completely understand, they make more money off of short stays rather than a overnight). Don't try to bargain, don't ask for a lower price!!! (Their prices are SET) and NO ANIMALS!!!! They offer free wifi, OVER NIGHT rooms come with small fridge and microwave. CHECK IN TIME FOR OVERNIGHTS IS AFTER 3 pm SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. Friday and Saturdays the check in time MIGHT CHANGE SO PLEASE CALL THEM.(if you decide to get an overnight before the specific check in time you WILL HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR EVERY HOUR PRIOR (also depending if they have a room for overnight available). About 20 mins from the city, clean rooms, safe area (Ardsley/lower Westchester County, NY). Nothing fancy. I have stayed here for weeks at a time and whenever I visit the area. $90/night or $400 for the week. Don't think you'll find cheaper in the area. Around restaurants, gas stations, drug stores, etc. The Chinese take-out next door is delish. Parking can be hard to find on the weekends. I've never used the wi-fi there, so can't attest to that. Definitely comes off as a "no-tell motel", and there are rooms with lots of mirrors couples can rent by the hour. However, families and individuals (such as myself) stay here, as well.
