If you're tired of the planned, paved nature trails, dreamt up by some city planner who's never been in nature. If you're tired of the wood chips paths that used to be railroads tracks, now, overrun with people & with no sign of any animals, then THIS is the place for you. This is an ACTUAL Forest, where you can walk in far enough and not hear cars whizzing by and you can see fresh tracks from the deer and other animals. get up-close-and-personal with nature. There are some paths but it's largely an open Forest. I would encourage all the visitors to pick up any litter, you can while you're there to help keep the area beautiful. There are spots where you'll find the occasional broken glass bottle, so make sure you wearing proper footwear. There is no bad time to go to the forest.
