As many of you know my mother needs a scooter to get around. She has a very hard time walking. My mom likes to go out with her sister and cousin, so they thought they would go to Ardsley Cucina for dinner. Our cousin called ahead to make a reservation, but they told her they do not take reservations. So she informed them she would be coming in with 2 other people, one using a scooter. At that point they said no problem. I was not going to dinner with them, but since the resturant was so close I told my mom i would meet them there to help get the scooter out of the trunk. When they got there, what a different story. As I got the scooter out of the car, my aunt went to request a table for 3 plus a scooter. She was told that they do not have room. As I tuned to the big plate glass window that looked into the reaturant, I noticed a family of 4 that just walked in being seated at a very nice table for 6. A table that would have fit them just fine. After they decided to go eat at the Sawmill Taveren, i help them inside. This is when I decided to go and talk with the manager of Ardsley Cucina. This is what he said. The table I saw is a table for 6, they are only three. I said, so the needs of your customers are not important. You would rather sell 2 more plates, then respect a handicap person. He in not so many word said YES.... I will never eat at the restaurant again, and hope others pass...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am a long time client at Ardsley Cuccina. I have referred many customers to them.. I agree that they have very enjoyable food, but will not tolerate being humiliated by the owner. I go weekly with friends and this past visit we were with their elderly mom who walks with a walker. At the end of meal she needed to go to the ladies room were she was accompanied by her daughter. One restroom was out of order and there was another women waiting to use the restroom as well. After my friend finished helping her mom this other women went in to use it.
Following week we all went back to eat and my friend was approached in a crowded restaurant by the owner raising his voice blaming her mom for stuffing up his toilet were he had to pay $700. Insisted her mom did it,he went in there after we left.. mind you she would never do a thing like that, and she herself the daughter, assisted her... plus another women went in after them.. he insisted, he was rude, loud, begging her never to do that again and please please be aware??? Well that was so humiliating we of course left.. not only did they lose us as customers but they will certainly pass the word. Our dignity is worth more than a good meal. And there are many other restaurants that will treat regulars that come on a weekly basis royaly! Owner is a rude...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe LOVE Ardsley Cucina. I don't think I have enough words to say to give them the credit they deserve.
To start, throughout the pandemic we ordered delivery at least once a week. They always respected out contact-less porch drop off. Everything was always warm and always fresh.
Their portions are huge! We always have c leftovers when ordering and the price for the portion is well worth it!
Flavors are fantastic! We love the mozzarella sticks and the sauce (SO good), tenders and fries with the honey mustard (delish!!!) Our favorite pizza is the standard margarita, however for a gourmet, the chicken bacon ranch is the best we've ever had! We've also had salad pizza, chicken parm, lasagna, vodka pasta with chicken, Caesar salad (phenomenal), and sooooo much more!
If we had to give any criticisms I think we'd say we personally prefer smooth sauce rather than chunky and although we enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms and lasagna dishes, they didn't feel classic to us compared to the perfection of everything else, they could use some tweeks.
Will always order from here and tell...
