Th is park is a fantastic place.
During the day, little kids run around with their parent and grandparents.
People sit relax and eat their lunches on benches and the lawn.
During the summer there is a small spray pad. On Tuesday summer evenings, there are concerts featuring a different theme each week...big band, Italian, Jewish. Oldies.
Perhaps the best use of the park is when it is used for festivities such as holidays and carnivals.
The park is named for a departed mayor who was loved by many people in the community.
It is not "Central Park Big," but it is a very special place.

Read moreI'm not sure what I expect of a park in the middle of Cedarhurst, but I always feel slightly disappointed by this park. When my children were small it was a nice spot for them to play. There's not a lot of equipment, but enough to keep them busy.
