Uncle Mochi Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Our food was great. We got a boba coffee, boba caramel drink, and a mochi waffle apiece. It was decadent. The waffles seemed like fried mochi, but I didn’t see how they’re made. My chocolate mochi had chocolate cream down the center, flanked by melted chocolate chips. It was a decent-sized portion, and I felt satisfied after finishing. I think my wife did too. My caramel boba drink was sweet with some whipped cream on top. The bobas were nice and chewy. It’s a fun drink. The owner chatted with us a bit about mochi, and how it’s new to the kosher food world. He’s proud of his product and enthusiastic about introducing mochi and making it palatable to a new community. The store was energetic and fun. Customer service was great. We came all the way from Brooklyn to try kosher mochi. It was a day trip. I’m not sure when we’ll be out here again, but I would make a point of visiting Uncle Mochi....

I had the pleasure of visiting Uncle Mochi Cafe in Cedarhurst, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The vibe of the cafe is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. As for the food – it was delicious! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience here was nothing short of spectacular. Sam, the owner is such a wonderful guy, he took care of us the whole time we were there and made sure we were beyond satisfied. The passion he has for his craft manifest itself in all the wonderful food they have to offer. The blueberry white chocolate waffle and grapefruit refresher are a must if you go here !! Please do yourself a favor and check this place out. Great food and even better people

PS. Forgot to mention that the boba and frozen yogurt is also really yummy and fresh, everything here is made in house...
