Central Perk Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Great time, pretty quick service once orders were taken. Poutine French Fries. Very large serving. If you like a lot of cheese (yup) and the mushroom sauce (tasted good but not my taste in large quantity).

Whole-wheat Panini with an omelet with roasted vegetables and tomato sauce. The Panini was really good and thankfully The Omelette was very large.... Larger than the panini!

Salad bar: Baby spinach which comes with cucumbers, tomatoes and red onions. I added craisins, mandarin oranges, and pickles (don't judge!). Toppings cost various prices but a few together on average with the salad I think you get a good bang for your buck, and cost together around the price of one of their pre-made salads. Not pictured here was the pesto Mayo sauce that I went with in the end. Didn't mind give me two different dressings to try with it which I mixed in.

Considering the entire restaurant except for two tables (eventually just ours) was booked for a very large Sheva brachos, service was really quick and the waiter staff was very patient and taking orders and bringing water, napkins, more sauce Etc. Revolting! I am outraged by the service! After paying the bill, the waitress came back to the table to tell me that I owed her more money because I didn't tip her enough! When I confronted the owner/manager about this abominable behavior, he shamelessly told me I was the one who was wrong and should have given the waitress more money! He stood there arguing with me about how much of an 'optional' tip I am apparently required to leave! Not that this needs context, but I went out to eat with my elderly mother and sisters as a treat since I'm visiting from out of the country. When paying the bill, I customized the tip according to what I was able to afford and left a tip that was more than what I make an hour. For wait-staff to think it is ok to confront a customer and demand more money and for the managerial team to support this nasty behavior because he doesn't want to pay his staff properly is absolutely disgusting. If you want customers to pay your employees for you than include a service charge. Do not accost your customers and demand more money! Especially when your overpriced $22 piece of lettuce and undrinkable coffee are not worth coming in for to begin with!...

Came here the other day to have a nice dinner and since the staff seemed to be busy with the evening rush, I ordered my food on the tablet in front of the kitchen. When it was time to pay for the order it stated that it would need a phone number for pick up. I flagged down the owner and asked her if it was ok to continue the order since we planned to stay and dine in. She said yes and I paid for the meal. It understandably took a while for the food to get ready but when they brought it to our table the same owner once again asked us if we planned to dine in and I said yes, as I saw she started placing the food down in plastic take out containers. She came back a minute later with plastic forks and spoons and asked us FOR THE THIRD TIME if we planned to dine in, to which I said yes. Then she just handed us the plastic utensils and left, leaving us embarrassed eating out of take out bins. Absolutely vile service, it was my first time there and certainly my last.
