I finally visited after wanting to go there since it opened. The outside mall is a great place to hang out and visit. The streets and sidewalks were spotless and the outside decor is immaculate. It gives the vibes of the upstate outlets, however all of the stores are super high end. I believe it may turn out to be a mistake on whoever was the person that thought to make it a high end shopping center. I'm not sure if the unknown stores were the reason that the area was pin dropping silent and barely empty with pedestrians. I went mid day on a Thursday and it was basically a ghost town. It is such a beautiful place to visit with the outside patio seating, old time vintage look, chess games atop of the sidewalk tables where anyone can sit and engage in a match (the chess pieces are even provided for game players). With all the loveliness it was unfortunate to see that there were only a handful of folks there to enjoy. My adult son and I had lunch for my birthday at one of the restaurants (perhaps I'll return to write a review of the eatery). It was a French restaurant which the name presently escapes me. It was super lovely as well. There is a total of 28 stores there to shop at, but most are high end European boutiques. Out of the 28 stores I only was familiar with 3 (Samsonite, Northface, and Swarovski). I sure hope the traffic picks up in the Belmont Village, as it would be devastating to see such a hidden treasure close down for a lack of clientele due to poor planning by the developer. Perhaps it would be more successful if they lose the high end stores and bring more reasonably priced shops that may draw more shoppers to enjoy the area. I do recommend folks stopping by at least for the aesthetics, and also to support...
Read moreIm writing this review from an Islanders full season ticket holder view. This mall is absolutely nice. Im glad malkin put this mall in. The mall is super secure and has a security guard standing at the main entrance by the parking garage. Parking in the garage is free. There's some super nice places to eat at. Definitely will be better than the food you get inside ubs arena before a game. I shopped here for the first time today. I went to the Missoni store. The women who work there are super nice. They didn't rush me and my family out of the store. The prices are great and I saved a lot of money on missoni goods that are brand new. Not old stock. You aren't going to get these prices at the manhasset mall or nyc. Plus the security here is more tighter than manhasset mall. In my opinion this is probably a safer mall to shop at compared to Roosevelt field and manhasset which both have high end shopping. If you are looking at getting discounted high end designer items this is the place to go. The architecture is pretty too. This mall is for people who like good deals and high end goods. Can't wait for Valentino and baccarat to open here. It's going to be a very nice mall when all of the stores open. Will be like...
