I'm done with this place. They continue to have shady rules that makes absolutely no sense. I saw a firearm on gun broker and went there to look at it before bidding and they stated that they do not show guns off that are on gun brokers. I've purchased two guns from them after seeing it in person and now it's an issue? If you call for a price of a gun, nope you have to drive all the way there because they will not give you the price over the phone. It's not like they let you haggle with prices so just tell me what it is. I've tried to buy defensive rounds and asked to see the bullet and they refused to open the box, like they were breaking a seal or something. They operate like them shady car dealers. I try to support my local dealers but I just can't continue to support a dealer that don't care for their regular customers (i used to go there often until i saw the shadiness). Plus they sell their guns $50 to $100 more then the other dealers in the area so I just don't see any reason to ever go there again.
*Response: You stated you don't show guns on Gunbrokers because you don't want it sold over the counter to not cause confusions. I never said anything about buying it over the counter. I asked to see it before bidding on it to buy it from gunbrokers. You took some low quality pictures and people can't even see what they're bidding on, any they can't see it in person before bidding, make that make sense besides just being shaddy.
Anybody who buys ammo knows most boxes can be opened without breaking any sort of seal. it's just a flap that closes right back up. That day, I had about $200 worth of ammo and asked to see the defensive round before committing to it because it was expensive. I was declined, so I put all the ammo back and went to another dealer that did show it to me.
Yes, I can see the confusion with asking, for example, how much a Taurus TX22 cost, and you give a price... Small business wonder why they go out of business and that's when business don't care to work with customers who try...
Read moreI have never owned or shot a firearm before, but my wife and I decided to purchase a home defense weapon. After doing brief research I decided on a Mossberg Shockwave. I was on the fence on either a .20 or .12 gauge. Over the past weekend my wife and I went to the Coliseum Gun Traders, and was greeted by their salesperson Tom. Tom took his time to further educate us on the different gauges, and showed us various shot guns. Unfortunately they did not have the weapon we wanted in stock, but I made a mental note to check back in the near future.
I continued to do my research and a few days later called two other local gun stores. Unlike Tom, they were abrupt and rude over the phone. But never the less, I practice good consumer habits and shopped around. So I went to one of those local stores to examine the fit and feel of the new firearm I wanted to purchase. Even though this store decided to price gouge, that wasn't my biggest disappointment. The salesman was curt and truly did not believe I would purchase a weapon. I immediately called the Coliseum Gun Traders and they also had the weapon I desired.
As I entered the store, I asked for Tom. Thankfully he was working that day. I purchased a Mossberg .20 gauge Shockwave, with ammunition. I left knowning that I made an educated decision for my wife and I.
I called Tom today to thank him for his professionalism, and advise him I would also like to purchase another weapon from him. I now plan on getting a longer .12 gauge shot gun.
The moral of my story and post is, never judge a book by it's cover and always treat your customers with respect. The Coliseum Gun Traders has now gained a lifetime customer. I also left a negative review on that other local gun...
Read moreWell, I purchased a firearm and a optic with them and the service was excellent. When I got home I checked out the optic and it’s my first time I’ve ever purchased one it seemed off. I showed a few of my friends and they also stated the same thing. I called over they told me come by to check it out.
I stop by 3 days later after purchase and first thing I’m told is it’s fine you have eye problems. The man behind him states I’m not looking at it unless it’s on a firearm. I tell him I put it on my firearm just to check it out and I think it’s wrong again it’s my first optic, he tells me I can’t return the item because you put it in a firearm.
Things changed from the first time I visited to now, and I guess true colors show when you’re not spending money the day you show up and customer service really matters. Would of been nice if he could of said “hey sometimes people have issues due to their vision, and maybe you can’t see it correctly because of that” felt like it was just a very rude interaction and I won’t be purchasing firearms from this location ever again.
Now I’m stuck with a optic I can’t even use that I never used, just wasted a few hundred bucks for no reason. The manufacture said I have 30 days to return but it has to be to the store you brought it from. And this store won’t give me my money back for a item I purchased 3 days ago and didn’t use.
My second time driving well over 2 hours from nyc to this location. Won't be spending...
