The HMS certified produce selection speaks for itself, what’s more pleasing is the world-class customer service. Brother Adil and brother Tahmid, honestly as another Muslim, if you have any care for the continued success of your business, give your manager, Damian a massive raise, he deserves it. The guy literally caters to your every need as a first-time or recurring customer, and has personally delivered many of my orders to ensure my goods were not misplaced at my difficult-to-locate residence. He treats me like a blood brother and truly part of the Hal&al family. Your business hinges on em. His customer service alone will hand you the keys to becoming a national brand in sha Allah. The most important aspect of any business imo.
Laughs aside, great stuff being made by the staff coming outta Hauppage. All those guys deserve raises, they truly are the backbone of your business. You guys have a great thing going there ma sha Allah, and I really hope you retain Damian for the lifetime of your operations, he really helps maintain the consistency of what I demand as a consumer from you as a vendor and my continued satisfaction.
BRING BACK THE UNSEASONED BEEF+LAMB PATTIES, I can say that about a lot of the products you have tbh(dw i make all those guilty pleasures apparent to Damian). Like your premium halal pepperoni you once had(no not that type of pepperoni you naughty boys, nauzhubillah).
Also I have to give you a hand Brother Adil, you were just as accommodating with your time and empathy on our phone call with regards to my product wishlist and other concerns, so to speak. I really hope that many of those things I addressed come into fruition. Jazakallah Khair Brother Adil.
And if you were wondering, no Damian did not write this, I think the last few remarks and my uncultured(I know this part reeks of Damian) cultural vernacular all but confirm that. Send me a text, brother Adil, if you don’t believe him. Let’s see if you recall who I am hahaha.
All in all, great produce and WORLD CLASS customer service. Apologies for the word salad review. Much love to you all there. Good stuff as always....
Read moreI’ve been seeing people trying to hate on this meat company for a while after trying one item that was bad. All I want to say I’ve had nothing but a good experience. I’ve joined since they started their monthly subscription just because meat has gotten very expensive in Astoria so I save money and it’s of good quality. I’ve tried about almost all items-salmon, 3 of their steaks, beef stew, chicken, beef patties and ground beef. The taste, the color, smell and texture 🤌🏻 Compared to other products I’ve had where who knows how long it’s been sitting on the shel- slime, gray color, or odor of spoilt. Also they delivered to my front door and reach out to see what time is good so the meat doesn’t defrost. My mom had one so-so experience about delivery and someone called her and fixed it and even threw in a free steak for her inconvenience. I’ve never had a company reach out to me and fix any of my problems or complaints I ever had, it makes me feel valued and I know I’m getting quality meat. It’s a win-win; so here’s a honest review for someone whose tried various products and has been a customer for a few months...
Read morePlaced an order, and after 2 weeks of no updates and no response to our emails, we found a number to call, and the guy said he would investigate. Then we got a text from Damian that they franchised their deliveries, and the original order was crushed and needs to be re-done. 1 week later, we got a text that our order had been delivered to our front door. The box had no ice or insulation. Most of the order was vacuumed sealed and still frozen, but we also ordered deli meat. It came open, unsealed, freezer burned, and most definitely cross contaminated.
I haven't tried the sealed meat yet but the immediate first impression is very troubling.
Edit: responding to the business' comment below. It's poor customer service to offer a product and then blame the customer and your distributor. It's your brand, you own the poor experience you chose to provide. I shouldn't have to keep calling YOU'RE distributor for a product that I paid You for. The fact that the food came contaminated and exposed speaks on you're brand...
