Jerk Hut Express — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I wish I had the option to give no star. My first time doing uber eats with them. The experience was distraughtful. I am in shock of the poor customer service they provide. I ordered jerk chicken with rice and peas and a side of Mac and cheese which I had to pay an additional $2.00. I click on rice and peas and Mac and cheese only, because that is the option that is provided like any other Jamaican restaurant, for example “smoke house”, may I say, exceptional customer service especially over the phone. I received my food within 35 mins or so, which was okay with me. The speed of delivery was very effective. After I picked up my food from the driver, I looked in the container, it was jerk chicken alone and Mac and cheese on the side. I said to myself, maybe they misunderstood the order or something of that sort. I called with a mannerable and calm tone. Someone answered the phone and I start explaining the situation and she said “hol on, mi a go mek you talk to somebody, caz anno me do dah order deh” she didn’t even wait for a response or let me finish talking. Again that was okay too. She put me on the phone to talk to another woman and has I explained the situation, that I didn’t get my rice, she said she share what she saw and insinuated that I did not choose rice and peas. She did not try to help resolve the problem. I asked if I can come and pick up a side of rice and peas because I paid for it. It was a jerk chicken meal. I also paid for the side of Mac and cheese. She replied “mi cya help yo, tek that up wid uber”. I asked to speak with a manager and she responded “this is she”. I asked for her name and she told me her name is MARSHA. MARSHA, I must say, you have VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, that is a skill you definitely need improvement on. This was my very first time eating food from this restaurant and just because of this service, I will never recommend anyone to eat there. 1. The customer concerns will not be heard. 2. The problem will definitely not get solve. There’s no bad intention behind my review. I just want you to know, MARSHA (if that’s really your name) that your attitude was not pleasant. Visited 2x in the recently. The African at the cash register had a nasty disposition for absolutely no reason. Got a hostile response when I asked a question about the meal sizes. Then she became argumentative when I requested clarification. 2nd visit......called to place an order in advance, because I was rushed for time and starving. Got there 5min after my pick up time. One female at the back preparing meals and ignoring the 4 people on the line. One person shouted to her that he was there to collect food for a delivery. She gave him the dutty look and said "I know", as she took her time to return to the register. I asked for my meal and was told "Oh lard, me forget, I is the only one wucking tonight", and no apology. Needless to say, I walked out!!!. Why are these people so bloody angry and incompetent!!! They behave like you are begging for food. No customer service, whatsoever!!! Will never patronize an establishment, and pay my hard earned money for attitude, and bad service. DO BETTER...

I'm so disappointed! I will say that my food was delivered(Uber Eats)faster than the wait time for pick up. However my food was blah. My jerk chicken meal tasted of pure purple onions. The veggies weren't even steamed, more like a luke warm slaw that also tasted like an onion medley. I had to put my food on the stove and recook it to get rid of the flavor. The oxtail order lacked flavor although the meat was tender. Same situation for the veggies like in the jerk meal. Then to top it off, the plantainnnn! You're either giving ripe plantain or don't bother. That thing was more green than anything and needed to be tostones.
