Long Island Swim-Pool Service — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

I HIGHLY recommend Long Island Swim-Pool Service Last year things got hectic and we couldn't get around to closing our pool even though it was September already. We decided to call a pool service to do it. I'm so glad we did. They arrived on time and flew through the job quickly and professionally. They did it in literally half the time it took my son and my husband to do it. They didn't need those horrible water bags either. They wired the cover down and for the first time since we bought the pool years ago, the cover stayed on and we didn't have water bags falling halfway into the pool.

So, this year when my guys schedules were conflicted by work hours, we decided to call Long Island Swim-Pool Service to open the pool. IT WAS SO WORTH THE PRICE. The two gentlemen who showed up to open our pool were not only hard working professionals, they were extremely pleasant and knowledgeable too. After removing the cover, they vacuumed the pool, Hosed Down The Deck, added the chemicals AND REPAIRED OUR FILTER!! Last year the filter kept conking out after an hour or 2 and we had to keep pumping it only to have it stop running again. The pool tech told us it was a good working filter but needed to be sealed. So he sealed it where the leaks were and the filter has been running ever since. We only got 1 month out of the pool last season and now we have a clean pool with a great working filter. They saved us hundreds of dollars because we didn't have to buy a filter.

Avoid this company at all costs. I hired them to install an 18 foot round above ground pool. They sent three guys out and did it in world record speed. I never saw 3 guys work faster. 3 hours done. The problem is they didnt care one bit about how the job came out. I watched YouTube videos on how to install an above ground pool so I was familiar with what needed to be done. They cut every corner possible. I watched as they poured out the sand base. They were not even going to try and remove all the rocks that were there. I started doing that myself. They didnt stamp down the sand so the bottom of the pool is lumpy and uneven. They broke the patio blocks in half under the supports to make it easier for them even though it looks terrible. They put 250 pounds of sand in the filter. I pointed out that the instructions said to only put 220 pounds. The guy rolled his eyes and said dont worry about it. They rushed this job like they were competing in the Olympics. After it was done I noticed a portion of the track was uneven and the pool was bulging on the bottom at one of the support columns. I emailed Barry. After a couple of attempts to reach him he showed up and said oh yeah that column is too high. He said he would have someone come by one day and fix it but would not give me a date. He stopped replying to my emails when I followed up with him. I would not hire them for anything. Find a better company who takes their time, does the job right, and replies to your emails. I am adding to my post of 5 years ago. I will be moving and they just closed my pool for the last time. Bittersweet for me. I have used them to open my pool, service my pool weekly and close it every year. I never had a problem. Pool was always Crystal clear. Everyone is so nice and Response time is almost immediately. Highly Recommend them and I’m going to miss them. Thank you for five years of great service!!

I bought my house 4 years ago and it came with a pool. So this year we decided to change the liner. I called Barry at LI Swimming and he assured me that he would send someone that day to measure it and give me a price. He emailed me samples. I was very happy with the person who came to measure. He was so nice and made me feel at ease. Within a few days I had a new liner. The men were so professional and made sure everything was perfect. Then I asked them if they clean the pool and they did. Hernando came once a week to clean it. I never met such a nice and kind man. He always called or texted me when he was on his way. My husband was so impressed. He said let them close it too.
