Nautical Mile Cruises — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

We highly recommend Nautical Mile Cruises. We had an excellent time on the Nautical Mile Cruises “Sunset Cruise”. Captain Lou has a great fleet of boats and we were on a super one, the Atlantic Pearl. First, there is ample parking right on the pier with the boat waiting for you. Entry to the boat was supervised (they had a complete list of all who had signed up) and there was a safe passage onto the boat. You were greeted with a smile and a friendly hello. The boat was safe and immaculate. There was a full service bar on the first level which had seats. Like us, most of the passengers went up to the second level where a DJ was already playing away. He performed the full two hours of the cruise and he was great: he knew what to play and his personality came through. He had everyone dancing for the whole cruise. They did not overbook so there was plenty of room to sit, dance or just talk among your group and to the rest of the friendly passengers. The captain took us on a most interesting tour and was able to get us a beautiful nice view of the sundown. The two hours went so fast but we knew that we would definitely take another cruise with Nautical Mile Cruises. Had a lovely time on the doggie cruise on 8/15. From buying the tickets online to checking in at the dock after parking in the lot across the street, and from hanging with all the dogs and their families (with lots of space for all) to a leisurely back and forth on the water from 7-8:30, the entire experience was great. There are NA and some alcoholic beverages for sale (I paid in cash), plus toilets. It’s a couple of stairs up to the boat from the dock and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating at that level, and then a second set of stairs if you prefer to be on the top deck area, which is enclosed in clear plastic but with lots of windows that are basically unzipped sections of the plastic. Staff are very friendly and cruise is so relaxing I really enjoy the bay breeze .Although I would suggest that they add sound downstairs as well as upstairs so the music can be heard better if your downstairs and be just as much enjoyment as the crowd upstairs. This way you will have a crowd on both levels. Not so much overcrowdedness on the top floor. Over all I enjoyed and looking forward to my next cruise. I even made a few friends on most recent and some on the starstream on the 24th. I also did one last September for.my birthday which I totally enjoy.
