I visit practically every week, and like the idea of having the whole store to myself when they open up at dawn for seniors ONLY! Needless to say, all the shelves are full at that hour. Better still, if you bring a current ad for a product that sells for less, they will match it, no fuss at all. For the majority of the items they sell, they simply cost less than any regular store other than Costco. Addendum: Thanks to the experience I had to tolerate just today April 1st, 2025, I find it necessary to lower my previous review to 2 stars. I was given my first e-card a month ago, worth $50.00, and the manager, Delroy, said sure, he knew how to activate it for me. After 20 minutes, it turned out that he didn't know. So, I contacted the people who provided the card, and they presented me with a form complete with the Walmart Logo, and instructions on how to use it. When I ran into the same store manager, Delroy, around 6 PM on April 1st, he said just give it to the cashier and she will scan it. When that cashier. Donna, scanned it, a message came up saying that it needed authorization from the manager, who was paged and I called the store with my cell phone and the store manager, Delroy, was nowhere to be found. I ended up using my credit card, which would have been totally unnecessary had he been available. After several attempts at locating him, with the line backing up behind me, Donna started telling anyone who got online that her register was closed. I am still stuck with a 50 dollar e-card, which easily could have paid for the balance of the order, for which I used a gift card as well as my UHC card, which, thankfully was replenished on April 1st, the beginning of the 2nd quarter. Walmart is my local market, and it pains me to say this, but if this is how they treat one of their best customers, who is also a Walmart+ member, I wonder what kind of treatment they provide for others who have a lesser involvement with them. It's a rare thing for me to continue to use any organization that I have problems with, but in the past, everything was fine until I moved to East Meadow, and their package delivery left A LOT strictly to chance. One time, a young lady named Nikita, who was on her FIRST day with them, and going to college at the same time, actually rang my bell and handed me the package I had ordered earlier that day, for which I chose a delivery time when I knew that I would be home to accept it. Other than that one instance, even though the delivery instructions said there were large oak letters on my door that read B H, my initials, but until she showed up, nobody cared to read the instructions, which also mentioned GROUND FLOOR, and were left at the top of the stairs where my upstairs tenant lives. One of those packages appeared to be lost, but when the snow melted, I could see the package from my bedroom window, and the people upstairs never noticed it. No, I am not getting a divorce from Walmart, but I needed to revise my earlier review downward because of the incident on April 1st. I, however, now feel like the April...
Read moreThis establishment cannot be trusted, they dont deserve loyal customers because they are not loyal to the community, I had store credit to use for my children school supplies and I went to ring everything up and scan the PAPER RECEIPT to purchase the items and to my surprise somehow the funds were already gone and missing, it was not electronic, it was literally a shopping receipt that had a card number and pin number on, it was inside my wallet and never touched until I went to use it a week later after I returned an item, so the only person to see my receipt was the clerk and the only other access to it was through Walmart and they did not help at all, they gave me a run around for about 3 days, and since it happened on a friday, conveniently the store doesn't work on scams during the weekend, so basically they said nothing, helped with nothing and I'm now out 300 dollars because Walmart got scammed, they were not responsible and I have to now suffer? I only had a paper receipt to use for this purchase so if there was a scam it could only have been on the stores end, I didn't male any online transactions or check the balance because iit's all on the receipt SAFE IN MY WALLET, BUT APPARENTLY THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE ENOUGH TO RECOGNIZE THAT AN OUT OF STATE TRANSACTION TO INDIANA WAS DONE, THEY SEEN IT AND COULDNT STOP THE TRANSACTION, SO NOW I HAVE A LOSS OOF300 DOLLARS AND WALMART DOESNT CARE AT ALL, THEY SAID TO FILE A POLICE REPORT AND THATS ALL, NOW I HAVE TO SIT HERE AND GO SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GET SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR MY 2 KIDs LAST MINUTE DUE TO WALMART BEING HAVKED OR SIMPLY THE CLERK SCAMMED ME, THE ONLY 2 POSSIBILITIES, WALMART WILL RAKE IN BILLIONS AND HAVE A PERSON LIKE ME, A GLE FATHER OF 2, HAVE TO NOW CALL COPS AND PLAY DETECTIVE WHILE I GET MY CHILDREN SET FOR SCHOOL JUST TO REDEEM ANOTHER GIFT FROM POSSIBLY IN A MONTH JUST TO GIVE THEM MY BUSINESS, IM DONE WITH WALMART AND THEM SCAMMING OUR COMMUNITY, WE GUVE THEM SO MUCH MONEY ANDPOWER,NO WONDER WHY THEY GET SCAMMED, THEY ARE A HORRIBLE BUSINESS AND CORPORATION, I WILL NEVER SHOP...
Read moreI have been in a lot of Walmarts in my days but this in my opinion has to be pretty low on my lets make a trip to this Walmart because its literally less than a mile from my home. I actually travel to the Walmart in Uniondale. While the Parking is about the same, terrible, the store itself though smaller in someway is much better in terms of their workers and overall appearance. The shelves are stocked better, neater and the clothing is put back away much quicker. The Levittown/East Meadow Walmart has so much clothing going back on the racks from the changing room and being restocked from the boxes in one area that you take your life in your hands walking over by the dressing rooms where this hot little mess of an operation is going on. I am not steady on my feet so I use a Rollator and there is no way I can get in there with it. Also is back in the day when I used a cane I would have been afraid I was going to fall that way too. While the selection is basically the same in all the Walmarts in your area I will say this one does carry a nicer selection of Larger Plus size nightgowns for Women and plus size clothing for men. I keep away from the electronics department, I have over the last several years purchased no less than 3 laptops and all three had major issues. By the return of the 3rd I got put on a list that I can not order from them online(?) and can only get a store credit from here on out with an in store purchase after the approval of the manager and department head. HMMM. Thought that was a bunch of bull but nope its quite true. Believe me by the time I got home to pull up my account to print our all my purchases vs returns my account was froze. When I finally did get in 6 mo later after back and forth with them in writing my history has been wiped clean and no matter what I do I can purchase online and then its sent back to me in an email that the order has...
