Robert G. Wehle State Park, situated in Henderson, New York, offers a peaceful retreat along the eastern shore of Lake Ontario. Covering more than 1,100 acres, the park combines scenic landscapes with a wide variety of outdoor activities.
Originally the private estate of conservationist Robert G. Wehle, the park was established in 2004. Its 17,000 feet of Lake Ontario shoreline feature dramatic limestone cliffs rising up to 80 feet, offering visitors stunning vistas and a unique geological setting.
With over 10 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, the park caters to both casual and active visitors. The 4.9-mile Snakefoot Trail, the park’s longest, winds through gentle terrain and is named after dogs from Wehle’s Elhew Kennels.
