We had a WONDERFUL lunch here today, served by kind-hearted and friendly people. Tons of options for everyone, including gluten free bread for sandwiches. Portions were generous, ingredients were delicious, and we sat outside at a comfy table on the side patio. We also loved that they had Black Rifle Coffee Co brewed coffee, as well as canned mocha and espresso drinks in their cooler. Excellent coffee, so that was a pleasant surprise! The overwhelmingly positive, 5-star reviews here are well earned. And the few negative ones seem to be either from unseasoned reviewers, or those who only leave negative reviews - which should really just be removed, as the only thing they reveal is how incapable of being satisfied the reviewer is. The Sandwich Bar is a total gem of North Country; our absolute favorite neighborhood lunch spot in our quaint Sackets Harbor village. Ultra fresh ingredients (some even hyper local from the garden!), incredible delicious sandwich combinations in a wide array of options --something for everyone--, and fantastic breakfast meals offering both healthy or indulgent. We moved to Sackets from the West Coast in January and my partner who works from home quickly became a weekly regular for quick, fresh, delicious lunches and he's yet to be disappointed. As a more plant-forward (vegetarian/vegan) eater I was hesitant to go for a meal (I don't like to make chefs change their menus) and the owner Jamie didn't even blink an eye; she almost insisted I let her make me something. What a fabulous cozy restaurant to grab breakfast or lunch! We were greeted by friendly staff and impressed by the wonderful menu. Couldn’t decide what to eat! I chose the grown up Grilled Cheese and husband picked the Ontario Melt. Wow! Absolutely delicious. The grilled cheese was perfectly melted, perfectly crisp and the pesto sauce just swirled around the deliciousness. I crave it as I write this review!! My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Ontario Melt.
