Chrissy Beanz Bakery & Café - Sackets Harbor — Restaurant in Town of Hounsfield

Best bakery/coffee experience in quite a while. I was in Sackets Sunday for work. We had lunch down the street but left that evening to drive to Kingston, ON. I left Ki get on early this morning to come back to this bakery. I was not disappointed!

First Sackets is beautiful. I ended up with 3 bakery items. The cinnamon twist, the almond croissant and finally the oatmeal chocolate chip scone. All were excellent!

The croissant was light and flakey had a light tasty filling. The scone was last…my will power was weak and I opted for a third item. The scone was amazing. It had a firm outside layer and a soft center…maybe not the best description but perfect scone texture and best I’ve had in years. Flavors were amazing too.

The staff were all delightful people. I spoke with a few locals while waiting and left thinking this is how America used to be…kind and friendly. I had their drip coffee…black…as I wanted to taste the baked goods but they had a diverse...

Great job guys. You knocked it out the park. We are always looking forward to coming to this establishment. The coffee is great and it’s the perfect way to get a local pick me up. The small town feeing creates an environment where you always run into someone you know. They even have a coffee rewards program which helps you earn points toward free coffee. Forget about Dunkin, Starbucks and Tim hortons. This is the coffee spot to visit when you are looking for a nice place to sit down, relax and enjoy a cup of joe. Walk down the street for 2 minutes and you are right at the lake, walk down a bit further and you are at the historical battlefield at Sackets harbor. Need to go to the bank? Well it’s conveniently across the street. Have to drop the kids off at school? Well on your way back from the madness of getting them ready and dropping them off, you can relax here for a minute. Chrissy Beanz did our daughter's Wedding Cake & Cupcake Tower - DELICIOUS!!

They did a small topper for the couple to keep, and another small cake for them to cut at the wedding. Then there was an amazing cupcake tower with two kinds of cupcakes - red chocolate with cream cheese frosting and an almond cupcake with almond frosting. Both flavors were awesome and the guests were delighted. We worried that we had ordered way too many, but there wasn't a cupcake left at the end of the night.

The guests were impressed and the wedding couple were very, very happy with their choice. Chrissy Beanz always has yummy things to eat at their shop, but this was better than we expected. The folks that came to set up were right on time, and so nice to work with....
