We love a rainy Sunday🤍☁️☕️ #fyp #foryou #summer #brunch #rainyday

My wife and son visited about a year ago, and raved about the place, so when we were back in town, it was easy to convince me to come along. Service was friendly and attentive; the place being mostly empty (on a Friday in mid-April) helping I'm sure. I had the creme brulee french toast, and it was exquisite; the challah bread was flavorful and moist but didn't fall apart on me. A huge plate, and I couldn't not eat them all. The home fries I ordered on the side were well-crisped, but not very flavorful. The hot chai latte was amazing. Everyone else's food and drink were similarly delightful. The only hiccup was the WiFi. The restaurant has implemented some sort of elaborate one-off voucher for guests that ask about the password, good for two hours. Which would have been clumsy enough, but we got one for the table and it turned out it was good for only one person (based on our trying it out). We didn't push the staff to figure it out for us (it really wasn't a critical thing for us), but it felt unnecessarily complicated and non-service-oriented. But aside from that, it was all good. So, yeah, we'll be back, though I understand the place can get pretty crowded during tourist season. It will be worth a bit of wait to get in.

A friend of mine said this was his favorite place for breakfast years ago when he was stationed here. He warned me to arrive early because the line is out the door when it opens. I got there 10min before it opened and I was the only person there. I had the banana stuffed french toast special and a glass of iced black coffee. The french toast, although steep on the cream cheese, was very good. I was just getting mouthfuls of cream cheese at one point(my only critique). Still very good. This meal in the picture costs 30$ before tip. As a previous reviewer stated, it is extremely expensive. I would most definitely have to agree. However, I understand it is not the businesses fault, as the owner stated in their reply. These are the times we live in. I will eat there one more time before I deploy soon. I think I can afford to eat there once a month and I will do so to support their business. The location helps. It's a beautiful area that makes for a great walk after eating there. I hope the TPG remains open through these hard times. Their food and service is excellent.

I wanted to share our experience dining at Tin Pan Galley in Sackets Harbor today July 28, 2024 for other potential customers to be warned ahead of their arrival. We are a military family stationed at Fort Drum, we were up here 10 years ago and back again, everyone recommended eating here during our first time stationed here so it was high on our list to try for the first time today. I would not go here now and was very disappointed in the over 90 minute wait for food, not having any drinks or offer of drinks for over 45 minutes and if we received communication it was that we were next, 20 minutes later then told 10 more minutes and finally got our food 30 minutes after that. We are a family of 6, 4 kids and 2 adults. I am giving this account as I have worked food service in all areas (dishwasher, cook, server and busser) and I would never leave a customer for 45 minutes without a drink. Much less barely talk to or communicate with them if there was that long of a wait. The person I believe was the manager didn’t even offer to help refill the drinks and was standing off to the side multiple times throughout the time we were there doing nothing. Then seemed disturbed if someone walked up to ask for something. I watched multiple tables have to get up and run down someone, literally went to them, and get their drink filled. The food we received was not worth the 90- minute wait. I was so disappointed I missed the event we were planning to attend, my family left and made it back before our food came, and would have paid for drinks and left with my family had I known it would take so much longer to get our order. Open communication about the wait time and the amount of time it would take to get food once ordered was a bit ridiculous. We looked forward to eating here and won’t eat here again. I will not recommend anyone eat here either. This was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had, while our server was kind, we were not a priority and I believe the gratuity of parties of 6 or more played in to the fact that little to no effort was made for our drinks or service. I was in food service as I said so I am usually very understanding and honestly this is the first review of a business I’ve written, but want others to be able to make informed decisions about where they dine.

So BEWARE if you are a larger party, though I watched tables of 2 have to wait for the food their servers at least went to the tables without getting waved down. Don’t go here if you have small kids because they will not make it the amount of time it takes for the food to come out. The food while decent, in my opinion was not worth the long wait time or the price. I hope that those working at this establishment will at least communicate openly and honestly with their customers about the wait times for food especially if someone inquiries about the rough amount of time instead of saying up next when it was far from being up next and watch to see if drinks need to be refilled while the...

Aug 26, dinner at 6pm. Was thinking about bringing my own wine and pay a corkage fee. I called and was told $36. Are you kidding me. This is not New York City, it's Sackets Harbor NY. Just say no byo, don't have a ridiculously high fee. Had reservations at 6 ... or so we thought. They had no record of the reservation and could not seat us. They finally found a table in the bushes...no kidding, in the bushes. We declined. Then finally a vacant table appeared. We were seated...then no waitress. We waited and watched. After about 10 minutes we noticed waitresses were arguing over who had our table. Finally we were 'wait'ed on. Waitress was nice and did acknowledge the confusion over the table. I asked her about corkage fee and she told us outside wine was not allowed. All staff should know the policy. We ordered, food came and was good. During dinner there was a discrete but noticeable disagreement over something between what appeared to be the manager and a waitress. We think he was the manager but we're not sure because besides some management duties he was at a table eating and drinking the 1+ hours we were there. With the confusion over our lost reservation and by the end of our meal, there were THREE tables ready for service that were never used the entire time we were there. Why did they give us a hard time in seating us? So...bottom line, good food, good live music, friendly waitress. In my opinion this restaurant lacks management. Too much confusion. People who take reservations usually don't write them down on random slips of paper...their excuse, not mine. I hope you all have better luck. We won't...

I never write reviews but I am doing so in hope they can obtain better service. I have worked in the restaurant business for over 12 years so I know how the front of house should be run. On a Saturday brunch that wasn’t full we waited over 10 minutes just to be acknowledged. We waited an hour for our appetizer of homemade chips. We waited 1 hour 45 minutes for our brunch. Our server was nice but you could tell she didn’t have much experience & barely made herself visible in the dining area. I had to ask the hostess for silverware & bartender for more drinks. Another party of 5 that sat next to us was waiting 15 minutes and I asked the busser for that table to get a server to acknowledge them. Not my job but clearly the manager never made sure tables were being treated in a timely manner. The food was great but the food alone is not going to bring people back when the front of house is not being transparent with their customers about the kitchen being backed up. We had to ask for the manager at the end of our meal only to realize the manager was standing at the hostess stand the whole time. As a manager of a restaurant myself it is the manager’s job to read the atmosphere of the restaurant and go around to each table to address why everyone is waiting over and hour for their food & to comp drinks and make sure every customer is being thoroughly taken care of. The kitchen should not take over an hour for brunch. Hope they can make improvements because it’s a great atmosphere and I don’t ever want to see small...
