Your Own Lodge - 4 Seasons Getaways — Attraction in Town of Hunter

This was my 2nd year working w/ Brett (stayed with him the weekend of June 30th, 2018). He was the only property owner I reached out to due to my experience with him the 1st time around. His property is beautiful and well-kept, and he is incredible to work with. Always responsive and thoughtful in his approach. We used the property roughly 35 people ranging from 26-37 years old. We play yard games, used the big yard and spacious deck for more games, and spent a lot of time hanging in the pool/pool area. The pool area was one of the highlights as it was more than suitable for 30+ people to relax and enjoy themselves. The house itself was outstanding. Plenty of bedrooms and sleeping arrangements to accommodate all of our guests. The description of the facility was on point, and just like working with Brett in the past, the house and the experience of using the house FAR EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS! It is rare and unique to have a house of the size and quality mixed with an accommodating owner like Brett. I haven't seen some college buddies for a few years and to share this time in this house was very meaningful. We had people travel to Brett's lodge from 13 different states (CA, TX, AZ, OH, MI, IL, MA, CO, CT, NY, NJ, PA, NC)! There is no other place I’d recommend for a gathering like this, and know that no other place out there could've motivated people from across the country to come together like this. When I showed the pictures of the house, they were sold! Lastly, this house and event is so special to me, that I proposed to my longtime girlfriend there over our weekend stay. I used the highest balcony while the rest of the guests watched from the yard. It was amazing, romantic, and eventful!!! The house was able to comfortably accommodate 35 of our closest friends, so it was the right time, and right place. We rented Your Own Lodge for winter vacation weekend in January. The lodge was warm and cozy when we arrived, even though the temps outside were in the single digits. Lots of living space for our party of 35 to spread out. We found the beds to be much more comfortable than we expected from a rental home. We especially appreciate that there were 2 bedrooms on the main floor for my in-laws who are a bit older and didn’t need to go up and down steps. there are 2 bedrooms in the basement near the game area where we had all the (loud) boys sleep, which left all the upstairs bedrooms for couples and smaller children. This home is an 8 minute drive to Hunter mountain. We spent an awesome day on the slopes! Brett was gracious and accommodating about allowing us to stay a bit later on Sunday, which made all the difference! We chose the Lodge because of the large size, and the close proximity to the Orthodox synagogue. Even in freezing weather, you are only a few houses away from the Shul. There were 2 extra folding tables and lots of extra folding chairs to accommodate everyone at the sabbath meals. I will also mention that when we blew a fuse on Sat night (too many toaster ovens and sandwich makers plugged in at once!) the local caretaker, Anita, was over practically before I hung up with her to flip the fuse back on. A Perfect Retreat for a Large Group – Highly Recommend!

We recently stayed at this beautiful property for a women’s retreat with over 20 women from NYC. Our focus was on connection, career growth, and goal-setting, and this home provided the perfect environment for deep conversations, shared meals, and meaningful moments together.

The listing was completely accurate – the instructions were clear and easy to follow, and expectations were set regarding toiletries and amenities. The space was even better than expected, with plenty of beds, multiple kitchens and dishwashers, and delightful surprises like the cozy basement and spacious porch.

What made this property truly special was its breathtaking scenery and thoughtfully designed spaces. The large living and dining areas allowed all of us to gather comfortably, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere. One of our fondest memories was sitting together in the living room, sharing stories late into the night, and enjoying meals as a group around a table big enough to fit everyone—a rare and cherished experience.

The hospitality was outstanding. Brett went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, responding quickly to questions and resolving any issues promptly. The level of service was exceptional, and we would absolutely recommend both this property and this company to friends, family, and colleagues looking for an unforgettable group getaway.
