Cold Spring Harbor Firehouse Museum is a wonderful museum dedicated to showcasing the history and contributions of the Cold Spring Harbor Volunteer Fire Department.
The preserved museum is actually Cold Spring Harbor's first Fire House that was spared from demolition. There are lots of articles and artifacts, and it also houses two antique fire trucks. One of the antique fire trucks I believe was once in service a long time ago at Cold Spring Harbor.
We learned a lot from our host Bob when we visited and would like to visit again since we didn't plan enough time.

Read moreThis was a perfect place to bring our friend, her daughter, and Frida Panda after burning a little energy at the park (this was more for Frida than anyone else 🐼😅). We had a blast posing and taking pictures, and then had some very interesting historical discussions with the museum’s staff, and then crossed the street for coffee, hot cocoa, and treats at the Gourmet Whaler (we love all the little shops nearby though!) Then headed back to the park to burn the calories (this was more for me 😅).
