Sweetie Pies on Main — Restaurant in Town of Huntington

This is a very nice, cozy, independent coffee shop that offers a wide selection of sweet treats and gourmet coffees.

I stopped by during a rain storm for a piece of crumb cake and a hot cup of tea. I admit, I am not much of a sweets guy, but they offered a very nice selection. I would imagine the choices would have been even better earlier in the day because the place is very popular and they had sold out of a few items when I arrived, late in the day. They also offered several different choices of coffee, which all smelled heavenly.

The back of the store has additional seating and appeared to be a dog friendly area as there was a couple with their dog there and the store had dog treats for sale at the counter.

Extremely unwelcoming and unprofessional staff. We decided to visit for the first time after hearing raving reviews about this place. They did close off the store due to to COVID-19, but there is a small takeout window. After the customer in front of us left, we entered and were immediately met with disgust and experienced discrimination. The two female employees saw us and immediately backed away as far as possible; they were acting like we were going to infect them with COVID-19. The older female employee, who was going to take our order, scurried all the way to the side of the store and ignored us. The young female employee had no choice but to take our order and appeared unwilling to recommend some bestsellers. Our first and last time visiting this Anti-Asian...

I love supporting small businesses and I have been a loyal customer for over 5 years now... Never had a problem till recently. When I heard they were open for curbside pick-up I was so excited... went there ordered my usual and the owner was so rude to me about my customer loyalty card. Long story short SHE REFUSED TO GIVE ME MY RECEIPT!!! Is that even legal? Also she didn't want to stamp my loyalty card. Like I said I've been a LOYAL customer to them and this is how they treat their LOYAL CUSTOMERS... No way going back ... Also if you are looking for a coffee shop around that area.... there are other places on that street that HAVE BETTER SERVICE and probably have better hygiene......
