Harbor Club at Prime — Attraction in Town of Huntington

HCP - you had my heart before we even signed our contract and your team made the whole experience 1000+/10! I’d like to start this off by saying my profession is event planning and never once had to worry about this vendor with the professionalism and you truly got service over the top compared to other venues we looked at in the area.

Starting with meeting with Kate - who made sure we had all our questions answered and never felt like they were selling me- truly passionate on what they provide for weddings & wanted to make our partnership work to the best of her abilities! We met the lovely Helen on the spot who is your in house event coordinator (which by the attention to detail - brides you will not need a planner, she is on it!)

Fast forward to the email, phone calls & many visits (our families are from out of town so Helen & Kate had absolutely no issue with us stopping by so often when they were visiting) - HCP response time was exceptionally… even setting expectations on when they were not around so you never felt like you were left hanging for an answer (love a good no update - update).

We got married in May this year and met with Helen for decision making in January- let me tell you- she had all the answers and thought of all the little details (do you have toasting glasses, card box, cake knife - all which you can barrow from them if you do not have!) all while having the nice chat - we were able to taste the wine we would be serving to our guests, picking out our five (5) cocktail stations (which included sushi & raw bar), twelve (12) butler passed hors d'oeuvres (6 hot hors d'oeuvres and 6 cold hors d'oeuvres) 😛 MIND BLOWN

Fast forward again to wedding day before/day of 🥰 We asked to rehearse at HCP the evening before to drop off our decorations (Helen making sure she wrote down everything we brought and were it will go) and where we got to meet our lovely Maitre D( Richard), and bridal attendant (Jacaranda). They were so helpful running us through the ceremony and set expectations of what to expect for the wedding day! On to the day - the team made sure we were taken care of the whole time! Richard and Jacaranda worked with our bridal party to make sure we were fed and had drinks - they made sure our dream wedding came to life! Helen working her magic in the background making sure everything went off without a hitch!

All our guests are still raving about how our wedding was the best they have ever been to thanks to the Harbor Club!!

We got married on April 29 and although it rained nonstop our day was truly beautiful.

Kate and Helen were a dream to work with and really made our day everything we wanted it to be.

We knew we wanted a modern venue on the water without carpet in the ballroom and HCP really exceeded our expectations. Our guests are still ranting and raving about the food, which was endless and beyond delicious.

I never had a drink not in hand and our dinner was beautifully presented in the bridal suite, which we requested so we could have our “first date” as a married couple and escape the crowd for a few.

Our bridal attendant, Jacaranda, was so attentive and at one point was on her knees cleaning the bottom of my dress with Shout wipes! I could not thank her enough.

It should be noted that Harbor Club at Prime does not offer a real tasting experience, which we did not know. I think it would be helpful if they gave couples a gift card to Prime to try the food in advance.

Since it was raining, our ceremony was indoors and our customized reserved seating signs were not used. I was a bit disappointed since I designed these on my own and paid to have them professionally printed.

-1 star due to a misunderstanding between our florist and the venue.

Our florist was told earlier in the week that she could arrive with her crew at any time. When she arrived around noon she was told that she could not enter, and would have to wait until the day wedding was over (5pm). When they finally gained access to the venue, they were mistreated by the maître d’ Richard, who, instead of helping them decided to berate them. He made inappropriate and extremely unprofessional comments to them throughout the day.

Helen brought the time error to my attention the night of the wedding, which seemed minor until I spoke with my florist weeks later.

We were mortified when we learned of the incident in its entirety because not only is the florist our friend, she was also a guest at the wedding and did not feel comfortable. I would strongly encourage everyone to advise their vendors to TRIPLE check with HCP prior to the day of the event.

We had our wedding reception at Harbor Club at Prime (HCP) on 11/4/2023 and it was just out of this world... we honestly have so many amazing things to say, we don’t even know where to start!!!

We were drawn to HCP right away for many reasons, including the very modern look, the amazing view of the harbor, the outstanding food, and how welcomed we felt from the start. We worked with Helen (events coordinator) and Christine (sales manager) throughout the time from booking to our wedding day. To say we felt at ease with low stress knowing that they both were on top of everything is genuinely true, although not common to hear when planning a wedding. Christine was always so quick to answer our emails with any questions/concerns we had, and Helen stayed so on top of everything that was needed to coordinate a perfect wedding day, as well as made both of us and our families at ease whenever we met with her. The HCP team made our wedding day beyond what we ever could have hoped for - from the way they set everything up, to how they welcomed our guests, and the food that was just out of this world and still has our guests talking about, along with incredible cocktails that were continuously supplied, everything was just honestly incredible. I’ve never heard people be so blown away by a cocktail hour like they were by the one presented at HCP - it was truly out of this world and clearly shows that they try to fit the restaurant versus catering hall vibe. The whole staff the night of was so attentive and amazing, and our guests had such an amazing time. The whole day flowed so smoothly; Richard (Maitre D), Kevin and Maurico (captains), and Jacaranda (bridal attendant) were all so dedicated to making our wedding perfect and they really worked well together along with Helen, Christine, and the rest of the HCP team to do just that. If you are looking for a modern, intimate wedding or other event with the best food and team you’ll find, run to HCP - we cannot recommend them enough!!!
