West Marine — Local services in Town of Huntington

The hours were updated by the business 2 weeks ago - and states open until 8pm. We arrived at 6:01pm, an extremely rude and obnoxious male worker greeted us at the door that they closed “1 minute ago”. I stated that we just needed a fuse and knew exactly what we needed (and we really needed that fuse). He said “sorry, can’t help you” in a very rude and condensing way. Why update your hours only to close 2 hours early? We will never shop at this overpriced establishment, with unhelpful and rude workers. We also filed a complaint with their corporate HQ. And you should also do some customer service training because clearly your employees need it....

We're sailors and visit WMs all up and down the East Coast. The service at this location is entirely dependent on the person working that day. Yesterday was awful; today was great. Therefore, 3/5 🌟🌟🌟

The best part of buying WM products is the return policy. Got a chair for Father's Day (our 3rd of this model), which has a design flaw - the metal arms poke through the material. There was no issue with the exchange and upgrading to a better (more expensive) model (without arm rests).

So we left satisfied today and shop here whenever we're in the area as it is within waking distance of the dinghy dock at Bay Walk Park in...

Nice staff but Huntington store should make more of an effort to help locate parts they do not have in stock. Instead of searching all the locations on LI, they looked at theirs and one other and then suggested I order it. Found out on my own that there are 3 additional locations on LI ( they didn't search them or mention that). I called West Islip and they filled me in. ...
