This location does not stay well stocked. Forget about canned/shelf food item specials, those are always sold out. Their delivery comes in Thursdays so it can be a week before they replenish. I go often and experience out of stock on my weekly shopping items often. Also if you're looking for Osem Soup Consomme (kosher) you'll have to drive to Monroe Ave to get it. They stopped carrying it at this location and don't at Hudson Ave. This is a staple. I've asked them to carry it, but to no avail. I guess Wegmans believes no one in the Irondequoit area uses this soup starter. This location is unreliable, items I once bought they suddenly stopped carrying. They move items constantly and I've found the item while the employee I ask for help is still looking for it, or nobody finds it. This store has limited shelf space and they don't carry enough of popular shelf food items. Yet the store dedicates about 1/3 of it's space to housewares, dinnerware, gifts, jewerly, seasonal non food items, with those isles virtually empty everytime I'm there. Don't go for: Jello box puddings, Goya bagged split peas, any Vegetarian baked beans, spices, bread crumbs, Greek yogurt, Osem products, Saltine crackers, this location is frequently out of these items. Maybe now they won't be. If shopping for Tortilla and Potato chips, you'll be overwhelmed with the selection, whole center isles devoted to chips, if it's organic Tortilla chips you eat, you might find a bag or two if you...
Read moreMore expensive that other local grocery stores. Does not carry many name brand items, if it is not natural or healthy as others. Way too worried about natural, vegetarian or organic brands, and charging a fortune. I wonder if they carry so much of that food to make more money off healthy smart people. I can not stand walking into any wegmans. The layout is always a pain and a puzzle. And the majority of wegmans customers are the rude, inconsiderate, head in the sky selfish people that act better than everyone else. The customers also enjoy believing the world and store revolves around them, and has no respect for customers trying to shop in the same isle. Say something? You get eye rolls, smart remarks or a rude statement. I genuinely have hated wegmans from the time they took out the video department and renovated them all to be annoying, confusing and a cluster fxck of carts in everyone's way. However I do have a positive comment. Every wegmans employee I have ever talked to, have been amazingly professional, kind, and helpful. I just dislike the customers, food options, prices and layout. Employees are among the absolute best I've run into in ANY retail...
Read moreI tried to return a large package of beer. The two ladies at the counter we're rude! They said that they cannot take back alcoholic drinks. I asked them their return policy in writing, they just kept repeating that it was a legal reason that they could not take it back . I called the a agency the handles alcohol that made these rules, not so! I called alcohol and firearms government agency. They said that the only alcohol you cannot return is if it has been open I bought it for others and for a party. I do not drink alcohol! My trip was wasted I was insulted by the two ladies and the manager kept parroting the same thing! I called Wegmans customer service they said the same thing as I was told by alcohol and firearms! I never received the promised apology! Many stores post their return policies on the wall at their counter. They could have least referenced a little plastic display that had there return policy! So why didn't the three people I talked to comply with their company's policy! I have 1500 individuals who...
