I love this little park! Just wish the Town of Lancaster would pay a little more attention to it. 2 adult swings, 2 baby swings, a tiny playground with a big slide and a small slide, also monkey bars and metal steps to climb up or down. There used to be a sandbox years ago but that's now gone and nothing has replaced it. There's a brand new splash pad in place of the kiddie pool that was once there. It's a nice place for kids and there's a new shelter with picnic tables to stay in the shade. Back when I was a kid, there were craft days, other activities for kids, and it seemed like a more popular place in general. Now it seems mostly forgotten about but there are still people that go there in the nicer weather. It'd be nice if they repaved the main path that does through the park. There's also a big hill to sled on, a small bridge over a small stream, a parking lot, a baseball diamond, and a nice...
Read moreWe were so sad to see the kiddie pool go. My youngest child is 4 and can only half swim, and going to keysa is way too hard for me to manage.his older sisters are 7 and 9 and they of course want to swim in the big pool at keysa, but its just too big and always so insanely crowded there for me to be able to safely supervise 3 different kids in the pool. Meadowlea has always been our secret little hidden pool, it was never ever crowded only 2-3 other kids were ever there daily, we often had the whole pool to our ourselves. Weve been to the new splashpad twice this past summer (2021). my kids were excited the first time and ran around in there for about 2 hours. The second time though they got pretty bored fast, and were done within an hour, and didnt want to go back again 2 weeks later when i offered. I dont think we will ever go there again now that we have...
Read moreA real hidden gem in Lancaster, NY. The park has a shelter with 3 picnic tables and there is a building with another covered shelter with 2 picnic tables. There are 6 tables out around the splash pad. There is a nice playground too. The splash pad is good for little kids and pre teens. Very low key and it wasn't crowded on this 89 degree day. I sat in my camp chair under a big tree. The park...
