We didn't love our food but i just can't give them a bad review especially when it's a small business where you can tell they really care and despite not liking the food very much there were things we did love! For one the service was great the staff were super friendly and the place is kept very clean. I felt like i had been invited to someones home for dinner its just that warm and welcoming of a vibe. It's got a fun kinda kitchy decore and felt so relaxed. Everyones food at other tables looked so good I was very hopeful and excited to try it and excited that the menue had items you dont typically see around here that reminded me of good street or festival foods. Food wise we did not love it and were a lil shocked by the bill (though most items seemed more reasonably priced we just didnt choose those i guess lol (we got tyludas) also we added rice and beans to both not knowing how huge the entrees were. The food was surprisingly not very flavorful we both got different kinds (one el pastor and one carnidas) but both tasted the same which was like letus and tomatoes the meats and seasoning (if any was used) were not coming thru in flavor the rice and beans also were bland though well cooked otherwise. The portions are pretty big and everything well cooked the meats were good texture etc and not very greesy or grissely like alot of places which was good. If your looking for big punchy flavor and spice this may not be where I'd suggest or atleast not what we ordered but if you like a nice warm welcoming place...
Read moreI have been here twice and they do not disappoint. As a Mexican who lives in Buffalo, this is probably the most authentic Mexican food around. I make my boyfriend drive 20-25 minutes out just to come here.
The al pastor is amazing. The carnitas are also delicious. Really good lengua too. The guacamole comes plain I think just kind of like mashed avocado but I throw in some of their spicy salsa, lime, and cilantro and it’s delicious. All of their salsas from mild to hot are so so good. Anything you want to get with Al pastor, carnitas, lengua or bistec I recommend. I’ve only had their tacos and tlayuda but I know anything with the meat they serve would be amazing.
The guy who has served us both times is so sweet and probably the best service I’ve gotten from the many places I’ve been too.
Really great place all throughout. I feel right at home being able to speak Spanish to the server. Great Mexican music. I would suggest some Chalino Sanchez or los Tigres del Norte.
Definitely recommend the place. Best Mexican food...
Read moreWe got the tacos, ordered 3 beef, 1 carnita, 1 chorizo, and 1el pastor... nothing to say but a major lack of flavor in every kind! Out of fairness, they did just open a few days ago, but that sure as heck doesn't explain the attitude of the gentleman that I ordered from... I walked in, he just looked at me. I asked if they had a menu so I could make an order, and they said they didn't have one for take-out (they had no menu boards up). Time passed, then he said it was online order only for take-out, and asked if I had tried the website. I said I had been trying for the last 10 minutes, and was not able to view the websites online menu... it was only then, that he actually handed a laminated permanent table menu to me... im not sure why he hadn't just handed me one in the beginning. The whole process along with the actual take-out was sad and frustrating! Again, in fairness, this is a newly opened place, and im sure there are kinks to...
