This evening I arrived at the liberty trading post at 5:40 PM. Four different people told me that they were closing, and I shouldn’t come into shop, Online it said the store closed at 6 PM. At 5:44 P.m. the PA system began telling people to leave the store they were closed. Everybody except the person by the paint section was so incredibly rude.
On my way out, I was told “Move faster. I want to go home” by an older gentleman who was working near the front door. In passing, I made the comment to a younger person near the door — “With treatment like this, I’ll take My business to Home Depot”. He replied “I don’t care that’s where I shop to”.
The staff here is so eager to leave that you wonder why? In turn they are rude to patrons, I had to walk away from a few appliances I had I had come to pick up. That plus my paint will likely be the result of 500-700 dollars in business this week alone.
The owners (tho fish rot from the head down) need to address their advertised closing time, staff behavior and overall interest in making a sale and retaining business. I hope next time I consider going I come over to see a permanent closure not just...

I went in on the 29th of Nov. Near closing time but had 20 minutes left of store being open. Knew exactly what and where I was going and getting and upon entering heard mumbling about 5 minutes. At checkout wasn't greeted with a friendly cashier and felt rushed out and door was locked right behind me. I felt like don't let the door hit your a** on the way out. By the way my receipt is time stamped at 5:48 that's still 12 minutes before close of business . Upon return one miss grabbed light set that didn't match other I almost had to pay 1.09 extra to just exchange and was told it was last months sale while the signs were still up. Then a manager said with distaste " ahh, just mark it down" Customer service with a smile on Nov 29 and again on Dec. 1 I think not. It's a shame because you want to support your local businesses but maybe next time I'll just go to the big box...
Read moreI've already had to leave these people a negative review once My second time in the store and once again very terrible customer service I bought a drill that didn't meet the requirements for what I needed so I tried to return it and instead of accepting my return for a drill that hasn't even been used once Randy tried to argue with me about what I need to do my job and said it's more than capable to do what I need. I've been working in construction my whole life but a hardware store employee knows how to do my job better than me apparently. Couldn't ask for worse customer service. But shout out to Randy, for being an expert in someone else's job but...
