When we first entered the restaurant with a reservation, we were not even greeted, maybe you guys were too hot or too tired. We were there with 7 people, the place was hot and the food we had did not have any flavor. The service was nothing to brag about. Your place was recommended by a friend. She said the food is Fantastico. It was my husband's birthday. My son and his family came up from Brooklyn and they were disappointed. The calamari was dry, the zucchini flowers were all stuffing. We were not given a salad plate. We had to eat the salad on the plate with the calamari sauce . We took the salad because we try not to waste food no matter the taste. We had to doctor it up. Did you want to give it to your next customer? My husband did not eat all the zuppa di pesce as you claimed neither did my son, again it was taken home to add flavor so we would not waste it. My Granddaughter and Grandson did not eat the Vodka pasta which was supposed to have chicken. You even questioned whether we wanted more chicken to be added. If you saw there was so little chicken you should have taken it back without asking us. My grandkids said it tasted like the sauce was Ketchup. I ate the two rice balls because I was hungry they sure did not taste like the one we have in Brooklyn, even if you said they come from Brooklyn. The Free bread you gave us is nothing new, we always get bread with our meals in restaurants. I will say that the the Pizza was very good. Your menu on the computer is completely different. You have to agree that the menu you gave us didn't offer much to order. We had the table full of glasses because it was hot and we drank a lot of water, you should have left the carafe on the table, and we would have help ourselves. Maybe 7 people at a table was too much for you, your Husband. You looked very annoyed with us . It was a bad experience for such a special occasion. I wouldn't want anyone else to ruin they're most important time as we did. My husband's birthday...

What a find! Three of us were GPSing our way to Bethel, NY when we decided to stop at the first place we saw for lunch. Destiny must have been guiding us because it wound up being the best, most authentic Italian food any of us have had in years. Homemade bread, olive oil to die for (we bought two bottles to take home), fresh baby greens in the salad and fantastic eggplant rollatini (warning: serving size is enough for two entrees or four starters).

If you're like me you fell in love with Italian subs when there were "real" Italian delis and now you're disappointed most times you get one. Go for the Longobardi sandwich. it's is served on warm and crispy bread and packed with spicy meats. (warning: be prepared to have your expectations surpassed and the bar set even higher.) The last time we tasted pizza this good was in Brooklyn (no surprise because we learned the place is family owned and run by a warm and engaging couple (husband born in Napoli) who moved out of Brooklyn leaving their first restaurant (Prospect and Fifth) to their grown children. )

Casa Di Longobardi's grand opening was planed for last year but cancelled due to COVID. (Yes, they opened during the pandemic and still managed to survive the winter) PLEASE, check them out so the next time I go back they are...

Found this INCREDIBLE Italian restaurant in the historic hamlet of Swan Lake, NY! Casa Di Longobardi Ristorante & Pizzeria, opened by an amazing woman, Lori & Chef Castrese Longobardi, who grew up on a farm in Naples Italy and spent lots of his life in Brooklyn. They treat their guests like family and shower them with some freebies (think delicious wine!) & love! This homemade food is delicious with natural ingredients from Italy & I would recommend everyone to come for the Italian food & discover a new place. Historic Swan Lake is gorgeous & filled with old architecture, the beautiful lake, a waterfall from an old 1800’s mill, all surrounded by the beautiful Catskill Mountains! There is free street parking on the surrounding street, don’t get confused because there are no signs. Enjoy, you’ll love the food & service! PS- I’m a chicken parm & penne alla vodka expert from Brooklyn & these dishes are among THE BEST I’ve had in...

So here’s the story, I am 100% Italian. While I was born and raised in Brooklyn, both my parents were born in Napoli Italy. I was raised and accustomed to incredible authentic Italian food. I came to Liberty NY to stay with my cousin for a while, and could not find any great Italian restaurants until I stumbled upon Casa Di Longobardi. The owner and chef is 100% Italian and we enjoyed a wonderful conversation over some real Italian espresso. The food by far is some of the best I’ve ever had. This place is so refreshing and a little slice of Heaven. As you can tell from my review history I don’t leave too many reviews, but when I do, it’s because of an everlasting impression. Lastly, it’s a little tricky to find as it’s on the side of a little strip mall. Just look for the big Italian banner as in the posted photo. It’s definitely worth a visit and many return trips 🇮🇹

Go there NOW! I love these people and their food. It’s like eating at your Italian family’s kitchen table! Everyone works hard to please you. You’re a friend as soon as you walk in the door. The food is Goldilocks “just right”. The pasta is cooked al dente, not over-sauced, seasoned for service (I added nothing). The Chicken Sorrentino was cooked perfectly and was massive. The Chicken Piccata was tender and delicate, The fried calamari is fried quick for crispness outside & tender inside (real calamari not frozen bought). The red sauce is worthy of every dish—get some on the side. Ask them about their red wine—it’s like non-fizz Lambrusco sweet (I like DRY reds) and a tad addictive as is the limoncello (unique like a lemon dream-sickle). I could go on. Parking is along the side street across from the restaurant.

Wow ! Our Calamari appetizer was fabulous melted in our mouths. Zucchini fries in olive oil balsamic vinegar and garlic , mmmmm! Penne a la vodka, Fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli and chicken perfectly cooked, Be prepared to eat when you arrive portions are very generous. The owners are outstanding in their field of food and hospitality and do everything they can to enhance your food experience. Thank you. A must try!
