Marshalls — Attraction in Town of Newburgh

I am a huge Marshall's shopper and have been to many such stores around the country. Compared to many Marshall's, this one is generally well organized, well stocked and clean. This particular Marshall's still offers layaway service and has an actual "shoe department" rather than just racks of clearance shoes. No jewelry department.

On the downside, most likely due to it's location and the fact that it is ALWAYS uber busy, it doesn't get a lot of "high end" stock like some of it's other stores, and there is always congestion and long, onerous lines at check out. Most of the time registers are all open, and the voice automated check out does help, but due to the popularity of this store, it is an issue, as in most Marshall's.

This Marshalls usually has a decent selection even though it’s a bit of a smaller store. What really bugs me is that no one is really properly trained on how to do online returns, mostly just the manager. Every time I come in I have to tell the cashier what to do. Even help with marking the returns with the prices I paid.

Also recently what bugged me is that I was refused a price reduction for the size of dress that fit me. The same EXACT dress with same code was marked down and I was told several things, people change the tags and they can’t do it, the machine won’t work because it was a different number, the person who’s authorized to...

The store itself is fine but I was appalled yesterday by (11/12/23) the manager who was at the registers (Donna or Debra or something with a D) She was very rude to the other workers - the folks working at the registers. It was disappointing to see someone abuse their "power" to force someone to continue working when they're meant to clock out or go on break. It was cruel and hard to see as a customer - I much prefer to spend my money where employees are cared for, respected, and treated well. Like babe you work at Marshalls, stop...
